Since there seems to be some confusion about why grocery stores are leaving Milwaukee's inner city (and all inner cities, really), let me clear it up. Grocery stores operate on a razor-thin 1.7% profit margin and even a small amount of theft makes them impossible to keep open.

Some states in south India have even banned the manufacture and sale of Coke, Pepsi, Sprite and other drinks, claiming they contain high levels of pesticide residues. Both Pepsi and Coca-Cola are in denial about their products being used as pesticides because they say there is nothing in the drinks that can be used as pest control.

Across the country, smart shopping carts are now a thing, you push it like a normal cart, however it scans every item you put in it, even weighs produce. There is a nice touchpad up top that keeps track of what you are purchasing and even allows you to search items and shows their location in the store. Do you feel they are doing this for the benefit of the customer or are they trying to curb theft?
