BREAKING: IRGC SPOKESMAN TO AMERICANS: “The American people live in a land that, in terms of fertility, is one of the best lands in the world. They have abundant water resources, energy and valuable minerals. With all these resources, human resources, natural resources and underground resources they could have a very prosperous country. So our question is: why does America have 39 million people below the poverty line? Why are millions of people homeless?”

There has been discussion about merging our water agencies, but each one has a different role and responsibility. The Water Resources Authority protects and regulates our water sources. The National Irrigation Commission manages irrigation water for farming. Rural Water Supply Limited builds community water systems to improve access in areas outside the utility network. Each organisation serves a specific purpose, and it is important that we understand those roles when discussing the future of Jamaica’s water sector.

I urge the world: don’t forget the people of #Sudan. Ongoing fighting has displaced more people than in any other crisis in the world. Health facilities are out of service or only providing limited care. Diseases are spreading fast. We need urgent funding. We need access to make sure people receive the health care they need.

Like every other country on the planet, India has limited resources. But it has shown us how the world can still make progress in spite of that constraint.

Imagine if the resources spent on war were spent on people. Healthcare for every family. Homes people can afford. Childcare that supports families. Peace abroad. Dignity at home. That is the future we are fighting for.
