Anxiety, depression, and burnout are not “all in your head... They’re in your gut. Your gut makes 90% of serotonin and 50% of dopamine. When the gut is inflamed, your mind suffers. Since your doctor won’t tell you this... Here are 7 ways to fix the gut–mind connection: 🧵

6. Autoimmune diseases start in the gut. When your gut lining breaks down, food proteins like gluten leak into the bloodstream. Some mimic human tissue—confusing your immune system into attacking itself. So, genetics load the gun, but gut pulls the trigger.

1. IBS, CVS, auto-immune and inflammatory conditions (eczema, hives) Cause: Gut dysbiosis & damage to the gut lining (increased intestinal permeability, leaky gut) My picks: Elimination diet, antimicrobial protocol, replenish gut flora, gut healers, master the nervous system

If your eczema keeps coming back… you’re probably treating the wrong place. Roughly 70–80% of the immune system resides in the gut, and its communication with the skin, known as the gut-skin axis, plays a central role in inflammatory conditions like eczema. Individuals with eczema consistently show signs of gut dysbiosis: - Reduced microbial diversity - Lower levels of beneficial bacteria like Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium - Impaired gut barrier function When the gut lining becomes compromised, it allows inflammatory triggers to enter circulation, activating systemic immune responses that can manifest through the skin. This is why symptom-based approaches often fall short. If the gut remains inflamed, the condition persists.
