When I first saw the Japanese Version, I thought that it was the Main Cast’s VAs doing an impression of Asuka to show that how Asuka presents herself / how people perceive her doesn’t match up with her “true self”.

They dubbed this properly in the Netflix version - I'm assuming the ADV one struggled to get all the voice actors in since it was a Director's Cut addition.

Asuka’s philosophy emphasising legacy than records needs to be talked about more. The way her long time goal as a professional wrestler was never about winning championships and breaking records, those came along the way to help her revolutionise women’s wrestling to what it is today. That’s the difference between the ‘some guy’ and her, he didn’t want anyone to break his record so he can remain remembered that way, whereas Asuka wants someone to break hers to help revolutionise women’s wrestling further in the future. With that happening, Asuka would then be mentioned and remembered in the next 50/100 years to who have paved the future generations by someone surpassing her accomplishments, but, at the same time, honouring them too. Asuka is a legend through and through 🤡
