You can install it directly from inside Visual Studio Code. It's free forever for anyone working on open-source projects (and if you aren't, you can use it for free until the end of June.) I recorded a super-duper-quick video to show you how this extension works. I know code generation is a huge thing, but I really appreciate tools that help me do what I do better. Thanks to the Traycer team for helping me with the extension and collaborating with me on this post!

You can just tell Claude Code to learn skills and it will. I asked Claude to create an app that uses tldraw and it one shotted it with sqlite db, and then I asked Claude Code to create a skill so that it could read and write on the canvas. 10 minutes later it could do it. Weirrrrdddd times.

Have you seen this browser feature in GitHub Copilot app? I just stumbled across it - didn't realize it could do this! 🌟 1️⃣ Had it generate some code based on a plan 2️⃣ Once done, it automatically launched the front-end server and backend APIs 3️⃣ It launched the browser canvas in the app 4️⃣ It then loaded pages, searched for products, and clicked through the app all the way to the checkout screen to verify the features were implemented correctly. What!?🤯 First time I've seen that. Normally I'd have to write Playwright tests but it verified it's work automatically. 🚀

For those of you tired of yet another AI-based IDE: Check out Traycer. It's a Visual Studio Code extension (free forever for anyone working on open-source repositories), and it does something different from everyone else. You write a high-level prompt outlining the changes you want to make to your codebase, and the extension generates a plan for you before you touch the code. (It reminds me of GitHub Copilot Workspaces.) You can review the plan, understand exactly the changes the extension will make to your code, and make any modifications. When you are ready, you execute the plan, and Traycer stages all of the changes so you have a new opportunity to review everything. Only then does Traycer apply the changes. This is ideal for large codebases where you'd rather study the changes the AI plans to make before they make it into your code. Look at the video I recorded to see how it works. Thanks to the Traycer team for collaborating with me on this post!
