In the refresh model Y, when folding the seats in the second row, it seems there’s a sensor system that prevents the backrest from going all the way down. Amazing.

The sensor is already there for seatbelt occupancy. It's only a matter of keeping an eye on it as you lower the backrest. Again, legacy auto would find this really hard as they're separate systems from different suppliers...
