I went to marseille over 10 years ago before the mass immigration crisis when I was 20 & it was dodgy as fuck then. Im an XXL person, and I felt intimated by the homeless theives and black gang members. I was nearly pick pocketed by rasputin & nearly knifed by his homeless.

Obviously be careful. Marseille is a beautiful city, now mostly ruined by Moroccan drug gangs and immigration. You'll find the good parts if you look around.
