In this clip, Ryan T. Anderson makes clear that there’s a difference between Christian Zionism (which sees the modern state of Israel as a fulfillment of biblical prophesy) and Zionism (which is the idea that Jews have a right to sovereignty in the ancient Jewish homeland). Rejecting the latter...

Judaism is never Zionism. Judaism is a religion and Zionism is a political ideology that has nothing to do with Judaism. How can being against Zionism count as being against Jews or Judaism? Zionism is a political ideology created a century ago by Zionist leaders who did not even believe in Judaism. The mainstream media, which is under the control of the Zionists, constantly lies to you as if all Jews are on the side of Israel, but this is a big lie. Thousands of Torah Jews in the world are against Israel and Zionism. Rabbi Chaim Brisker, one of the greatest rabbis a century ago, once said: “There have been many heretical groups in Jewish history, but Zionism is the worst. Being against Zionism is never Antisemitism. Criticizing Israel is never antisemitism. Zionism is not Judaism. Israel is not a Jewish state. There are thousands of anti-Zionist, anti-Israel Jews in the world, and now you claim that Jews are the enemies of Judaism.

35,000 anti-Zionist Jews gathered in Philadelphia yesterday. There are hundreds of thousands of anti-Israel and anti-Zionist Jews in the world, but the mainstream media ignores this fact. Zionists spread the lie that all Jews support Israel and Zionism, but this is never true. There are hundreds of thousands of Jewish families around the world who are against Israel and Zionism. Israel is not a Jewish state. Zionism is not Judaism. Being against Zionism is not antisemitic, it is in fact pro-Judaism. Anti-Zionism is NOT Antisemitism.

Anti-Zionist Jews in Jerusalem marched in support of the people of Palestine and Gaza in the Mea Shearim neighborhood. Zionism: It is not Judaism. Zionists: Not Jewish. There is no Zionism in the Jewish faith. Jews have opposed Zionism since the first day it emerged. Zionism is a new form of Antisemitism today. Israel is not a Jewish state, it is a Zionist state.

Zionists are not Jews, and Jews are not Zionists. Israel is not a Jewish state. Israel is a Zionist state. Zionism is not Judaism. Zionists are not Jews. Jews are fighting against Zionism. The enemy of the Jews is not the Palestinian people. The enemies of the Jews are Zionism and Israel. Before the establishment of Israel, Jews lived peacefully as neighbors with Muslims and Christians in the Palestinian territories. Zionists came and ended this friendship. If you want to do good to the Jews, stop supporting Israel. Supporting Israel harms the Jewish people.

Anti-Zionist Jewish community in Williamsburg. There are thousands of Jews in the world who are against Zionism and Israel, but the mainstream media never mention this. Israel is not the state of the Jews. Zionism is not Judaism. There are thousands of Torah Jews in America and none of them are Zionists and they would never accept Israel as a Jewish state and have been fighting against Zionism since the day Zionism emerged.

Jews supporting Palestine in the anti-Zionist neighborhood of Mea Shearim in Jerusalem. Israel is not the land of the Jewish People. The Jewish people are an ancient religious entity, not a nationality. The land of Israel is defined in Judaism as the 'Holy Land', not a political state. Zionism is a distortion of Judaism. Zionism is an atheist ideology.

There are thousands of anti-Zionist Jews in America, but the mainstream media that serves Zionism does not talk about this. Take a good look at this video, these are the Satmar Jewish community, which is anti-Zionist and anti-Israeli. They are all loyal to the Torah and have been fighting against Zionism for years. There are hundreds of thousands of Jews who are anti-Zionism and anti-Israel, but the Zionist-controlled media never mentions this. Israel is not a Jewish state. Zionism is not Judaism. I was asked by USA Today to respond to remarks made by Hasan Piker about Zionism. Piker claimed as follows: “Zionism is the ethnoreligious supremacist ideology that is exterminationist in principle, born out of the wrong assessment that this was a land without people for a people without land. It required the extermination of the indigenous population, and that's precisely what has happened since its inception. And its final iteration of that has been the Gaza genocide that we watched unfold.” You can call a blowtorch an avocado as many times as you want, but it still doesn’t have a seed, and it still isn’t green because it’s still just a blowtorch. The claim that Zionism is an exterminationist ideology is just as nonsensical as calling a blowtorch an avocado. The suggestion that Jews want to exterminate the Arabs who also live on the land is likewise, as it has always been, ludicrous and false. Zionism is a simple idea, which is that Jews have the same rights — not more rights, but also not fewer rights — than every other people on Earth have to sovereignty in their national homeland. So just as you might think that Bulgarians have the right to sovereignty in their homeland, Japanese people, Korean people, German people all have the right to sovereignty in their homeland, Zionism is just the idea that Jews should be treated the same. By the way, this is in the charter, the charter that is the foundation of the state of Israel. In that document, the word ‘extermination,’ of course, would never appear there, but anything that even remotely resembles that word or idea is foreign to any of the early laws or that document. In fact, the document says precisely the opposite. The document says that one of the purposes of the state of Israel is to allow Jews and Arabs alike to live in peace and to flourish together in the land of Israel. That's what the Declaration of Independence of the State of Israel says, and by the way, that's what the state of Israel has proven, more so than what it said in 1948, in the decades since.

People often ask: Can I criticize Israel without being antisemitic? I joined Vladimir Duthiers on the set of CBS News to explain that criticizing Israel’s government, leaders, and policies is not antisemitism — but that anti-Zionism, which denies the Jewish people the right to self-determination in part of their ancestral homeland, is antisemitic. Understanding the difference is so important.

We announce to the whole world, everyone should know that we, the Jews, declare that the state of Israel is not a Jewish state, but a murderer and genocidal Zionist state, and that it has been committing genocide against the Palestinian people for 75 years. The Jewish community in the Holy Land has struggled with Zionism and its perverted ideas since the first day Zionism emerged and continues to do so. There are thousands of Jews in the world who are against Zionism, everyone should know this well: Jews are not Zionists, Zionism is not Judaism. Israel is not the state of the Jews. Israel is a terrorist and genocidal state. We stand with the Palestinian people and pray for the establishment of a free Palestinian state.
