This is probably the most complex workflow I’ve ever built, only with open-source tools. It took my 4 days. It takes four inputs: author, title, and style; and generates a full visual animated story in one click in ComfyUI . I worked on it for four days. There are still some bugs, but here’s the first preview. Here’s a quick breakdown: - The four inputs are sent to LLMs with precise instructions to generate: first, prompts for images and image modifications; second, prompts for animations; third, prompts for generating music. - All voices are generated from the text and timed precisely, as they determine the length of each animation segment. - The first image and video are generated to serve as the title, but also as the guide for all other images created for the video. - Titles and subtitles are also added automatically in Comfy. - I also developed a lot of custom nodes for minor frame calculations, mostly to match audio and video. - The full system is a large loop that, for each line of text, generates an image and then a video from that image. The loop was the hardest part to build in this workflow, so it can process either a 20-second video or a 2-minute video with the same input. - There are multiple combinations of LLMs that try to understand the text in the best way to provide the best prompts for images and video. - The final video is assembled entirely within ComfyUI. - The music is generated based on the LLM output and matches the exact timing of the full animation. - Done! For reference, this workflow uses a lot of models and only works on an RTX 6000 Pro with plenty of RAM. My goal is not to replace humans, as I’ll try to explain later, this workflow is highly controlled and can be adapted or reworked at any point by real artists! My aim was to create a tool that can animate text in one go, allowing the AI some freedom while keeping a strict flow. I don’t know yet how I’ll share this workflow with people, I still need to polish it properly, but maybe through Patreon. Anyway, I hope you enjoy my research, and let’s always keep pushing further! :)

🇺🇸 MOSSAD, MI6, THE CIA, AND PUTIN: AN EX-CIA OFFICER MAPS EVERY INTELLIGENCE LINK IN THE EPSTEIN FILES John Kiriakou spent 14 years at the CIA and went to federal prison for exposing the agency's torture program. He knows what intelligence operations look like from the inside, and he says the Epstein files are exactly that. Epstein was actively seeking access to the CIA, FBI, NSC, MI5, MI6, and even requested a private meeting with Putin. He had SCIF access in 2018. John says an uncleared civilian shouldn't even know where a SCIF is, let alone be invited inside one. Victims received death threats in Hebrew. John says that tracks with how Mossad operates. On the death, the ear doesn't match, the autopsy doesn't add up, and the body was cremated so it can never be re-examined. John also confirmed that during his time at the CIA, he was part of a conversation where officials discussed encouraging a problem asset to kill himself. We've seen 2% of what the FBI has. And someone decided that's enough. The question is who made that call, and what's in the other 98%. Full interview with John Kiriakou below 02:10 - Who’s behind the cover-up? Kiriakou weighs Mossad vs. CIA vs. the billionaire class. 04:36 - New conclusion: Epstein was actively seeking ties to CIA, FBI, MI5, MI6, and even Putin. 07:09 - Epstein enters a SCIF in 2018 despite being an uncleared convicted sex offender. 09:45 - Plotting to access billions in frozen Libyan assets with alleged MI6 and Mossad ties. 16:30 - Victims receive death threats in Hebrew: is this Mossad tradecraft? 21:30 - The prison irregularities: deleted footage, broken protocols, and missing cellmate. 24:00 - The ear, the autopsy, the “decoy body,” and unanswered forensic questions. 29:19 - Only 2% of the files released: parallels to the redacted torture report. 39:50 - Honeypot or blackmail operation? Cameras in bathrooms and coded language. 43:11 - Kiriakou recalls CIA officials discussing encouraging a liability to commit suicide.

🚨WHERE IS THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE! Christians and Jews Are Now Second-Class Citizens in Their Own City This is no longer America. This is Islamized Dearborn - where Islam rules the streets, the schools, the police, and the public square, while Christians and Jews are expected to bow their heads, stay silent, and accept their diminished status. Christian resident Miss Unger stood before the Dearborn City Council and delivered a courageous plea for basic fairness. She condemned hate in all forms. Then she exposed the raw, undeniable double standard: Public schools and city halls proudly parade Ramadan with giant signs, crescent moons glowing on every light pole, and police/fire department officials wearing official Ramadan shirts. But Easter? Good Friday? Passover? Lent? Total silence. No crosses. No recognition. Nothing. The Dearborn Downtown Development Group eagerly decorates for Ramadan but arrogantly refuses to honor the Christian resurrection with so much as a single cross. In her neighborhood, the Islamic call to prayer blasts at deafening volumes - one recent Friday sermon screamed for 20 full minutes at 9 a.m., shattering noise ordinances and peace that had lasted over 40 years. When she tried to file a complaint? The police station which is controlled by Dearborn Muslim Police Chief Issa Shahin was stocked with stacks of Department of Justice rights flyers printed exclusively in Arabic. Officers [mainly Arab Muslim] openly admitted: hate crime resources are “mostly for Muslims.” English-speaking Christians and Jews? Apparently not a priority. The council’s response was ice-cold contempt: “No violations.” “Take it to court.” “We hand out materials from lots of groups.” One lone councilman weakly suggested a third-party noise check. The rest shrugged. This is conquest. And it’s happening right now in Dearborn, Michigan. SEE OUR FULL DETAILED REPORT BELOW

The majority of neoclouds will eventually go out of business but here is the winning formula if you want to win. (Save this). The core problem for the industry is that the economics of running GPU infrastructure only work at massive scale, with cheap financing and investment grade customers backing long term contracts. A lot of the names crowding the middle column of that chart are Bitcoin miners who converted their rigs into GPU racks chasing the AI trend, rather than companies built from the ground up for this business, which is exactly the kind of opportunistic entrant that gets wiped out when capital tightens or utilization dips. Nebius sits in the Neocloud Giants tier alongside CoreWeave, Lambda and Crusoe, and today's Q2 2026 print showed exactly why it's pulling away from the pack rather than getting lumped in with the 78 emerging players facing consolidation risk. Revenue hit $582 million, up 454% year over year, with annualized recurring revenue reaching $3.0 billion by the end of June, up 58% quarter over quarter. The company won four separate customer agreements each worth over $1 billion in total contract value and total contract value won during the quarter jumped 4x versus the prior period, a growth rate most of the smaller neoclouds on that chart simply can't match without hyperscaler grade balance sheets. Here's the vertical stack that sets Nebius apart from most names on that chart. Unlike pure GPU rental shops that lease space in someone else's data center, Nebius designs its own data centers, builds its own server racks and motherboards, procures its own compute, and runs a proprietary AI specific cloud platform layer on top of all of it. That full stack control, from silicon to software, is precisely what most of the emerging neoclouds in the chart's middle column lack, since converting a Bitcoin mining facility gives you power and cooling, but not in house rack engineering or a purpose built cloud software layer. Nebius has also been shifting from leased to owned infrastructure, with more than 75% of its contracted power now sitting at facilities it directly controls, up sharply from a mostly leased model just a year ago. That ownership shift is the difference between capturing margin over the long run versus being at the mercy of a landlord's lease terms, which is a structural advantage over neoclouds still renting third party space. Now for the pricing power piece. Nebius disclosed today that it's now charging $40-50 million per megawatt on new capacity deals, already signing its first one at that price this week, up from roughly $12 million per megawatt on its 2026 base contracts. Management also said it could sell its entire 2027 capacity right now on these terms but is deliberately holding some back for near term customer needs, a level of pricing leverage that tells you demand is outstripping supply for anyone offering real scale and reliability, exactly the customer profile the smaller, undercapitalized neoclouds struggle to attract. Nebius isn't a single product company either, which matters given how many names on that chart have no other legs to stand on if GPU rental margins compress. The company owns Avride, an autonomous driving and delivery robotics business with partnerships with Uber and Hyundai, TripleTen, a tech re skilling edtech platform and holds equity stakes in ClickHouse, the database company it spun out and recently backed in a funding round, and in Toloka, an AI data-labeling platform that sold a majority stake to Bezos Expeditions and Shopify in 2025. Those side businesses give Nebius optionality and diversified cash flow that a converted mining rig operator simply doesn't have. Bullish on Nebius, make sure to follow Melvin for more AI infrastructure insights, and if you want to see exactly what I'm buying as an analyst at Milk Road Pro, you can check out the link below for more.

THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY...In fact there's PLENTY you should know about Mary Robinson in light of her recent derogatory comments about her fellow Irish men, women and children. What drives Robinson to call Irish people racist while ignoring all the problems beleaguered Irish people are experiencing as a consequence of the mass immigration agenda she and others drive (yet do not feel the effects of). Robinson (from her Ivory Tower) thinks all migrants work and are brave. Perhaps she should bravely cart herself off to some faraway land. After all this Globalists heart does not belong to Ireland, and the Irish people don't want it anyway. Please like, follow, bookmark, subscribe, share and comment to make this IrishInquiry video go further. Here's a full list of organisations Mary Robinson is (or has been) involved with... Most people are still arguing about whether AI video is good enough. That argument ended. They just haven't been told. Full prompt: CAMERA: DV 16mm tape camcorder handheld aesthetic, landscape framing. A gorgeous glamorous European fitness influencer films herself directly by hand in selfie-cam and first-person style. Keep realistic hand shake, slightly crooked framing, delayed autofocus, awkward zoom-ins and zoom-outs, occasional motion blur, and small framing mistakes where part of her face briefly slips out of frame. Mix handheld selfie footage with a few fixed external shots. Important: never show her placing, adjusting, or setting up a camera. When switching from handheld footage to a fixed external angle, use a clean jump cut as if the camera had already been positioned before the shot began. The camera itself must never appear on screen, including in mirror reflections. LOOK: Soft digital tape camcorder look with subtle vintage DV character. Slight blur, faint tape noise, mild highlight bloom under gym lighting, subtle auto-exposure flicker, muted contrast, realistic skin texture, believable indoor lighting, realistic skin tones. STYLE: A realistic late-night gym vlog with a sexy Instagram-model vibe. The tone is playful, confident, a little flirty, slightly breathless, and natural. She is clearly attractive and charismatic, but the video should still feel like a believable self-recorded vlog, not a polished commercial. Fast clean jump cuts, strong continuity, natural body language, no awkward dead moments. CHARACTER: An exceptionally beautiful glamorous European brunette woman in her mid-20s. She has a highly photogenic face, large almond-shaped brown eyes, long lashes, full glossy lips, sculpted cheekbones, a refined nose, flawless lightly tanned glowing skin, and long thick glossy dark-brown hair tied in a high ponytail. She looks like a high-end Instagram fitness and lifestyle influencer, not an ordinary gym visitor. She has a slim, feminine, athletic hourglass figure. She wears polished soft-glam makeup, a fitted stylish long-sleeve athletic crop top, high-waisted fitted leggings, clean white sneakers, and a towel around her neck or over one shoulder. No jewelry. SETTING: A quiet modern gym late at night. Mirror wall, dumbbell rack, flat bench, stretching mat, a water bottle on a bench, soft warm overhead lights, mostly empty space, calm atmosphere, no crowd, no trainer, no extra people. IMPORTANT CONTINUITY RULES: The same woman must remain fully consistent in every shot. No face changes, no hairstyle changes, no outfit changes, no body changes. No extra people appearing, not even in the mirror. No duplicated limbs. No broken hands. No disappearing water bottle. No broken gym equipment. No impossible movements. Mirror reflections must match her real position and must never show a camera. No camera visible. No camera setup shown. Keep her beautiful, polished, and photogenic in every shot. STORYBOARD: 30 seconds total, 10 cuts. 1. (~3s, arm's-length selfie) She walks slowly through the gym holding the camera herself, slightly out of breath but smiling confidently. Dialogue: "Okay… late-night gym vlog." 2. (~3s, handheld pan across the room and back to her) The camera drifts across the dumbbell rack, mirror wall, and empty gym floor, then returns to her face. Dialogue: "It's basically empty in here." 3. (~3s, mirror selfie angle) She stops near the mirror, adjusts her ponytail, glances at herself, then smirks at the lens. Dialogue: "I look tired, but we're still doing this." 4. (~3s, fixed external medium shot) Jump cut to a fixed shot. She is already in position near the bench, picks up a pair of dumbbells, and gets ready. No camera setup shown. No dialogue. 5. (~3s, same fixed shot) She performs a short controlled set of dumbbell shoulder presses with clean form, then lowers the weights and exhales with a smile. Dialogue: "That woke me up fast." 6. (~3s, handheld walking selfie) She picks the vlog back up in selfie mode, towel over one shoulder, breathing a little harder as she walks a few steps. Dialogue: "Upper body done… and I'm already dying." 7. (~3s, tight handheld close-up) She grabs the water bottle, takes a drink, lowers it, and exhales in relief. Dialogue: "Best part of the workout." 8. (~3s, fixed external wider shot facing the mirror) Jump cut to a fixed shot. She does a quick playful stretch, a small mirror pose, then laughs softly at herself. Dialogue: "A little stretch so I can pretend I'm disciplined." 9. (~3s, handheld close selfie) Her cheeks are slightly flushed, she brushes back a loose strand of hair, smiling in a tired but satisfied way. Dialogue: "I always say quick workout… and then stay forever." 10. (~3s, arm's-length selfie ending) She walks toward the exit, still filming herself, gives a tired little wave and a genuine smile. Dialogue: "Okay, I'm done. Good night." FINAL INSTRUCTION: The result must feel like a real self-recorded late-night gym vlog by a glamorous Instagram fitness influencer. Prioritize realistic handheld motion, strong continuity, believable pacing, natural breathing, attractive appearance, and subtle imperfection. Keep it sexy, polished, and realistic. Not artificial, not stiff, not boring.

What's next for OpenTUI? Here's a technical write-up. Over the last few months OpenTUI gained a lot of stability improvements, new unnecessary but fun features like live audio streaming, and useful features like rendering to the scrollback buffer mixed with a live TUI, called footer mode. Overall the feature set enables building large and complex applications. React and Solid make it super simple and convenient. There is still so much to do though. Three big milestones we have set out to achieve are: - Moving most of the behavioural logic currently living in TypeScript down to the native Zig core - Node compatibility - Optimizing the hell out of primitives like text rendering The render tree mechanisms are currently only usable from TypeScript. Think of the DOM, but controllable like a scene graph. Elements in the render tree are called renderables. They can expose a render method to draw themselves. All renderables are derived from a BaseRenderable. Renderables and the render tree will become native primitives. Building blocks usable from any language bindings. Reducing the TypeScript bindings to a very thin layer, with all the behavioural logic living in the native binary. Moving this down is not just a matter of porting TypeScript classes to Zig. TypeScript currently owns the tree, dirty-state propagation, layout reads, culling, and render ordering. If it still has to walk every node and call into native code for each step, we keep most of the complexity and add FFI overhead. Whole passes and their state need to move together. We took a big step towards this recently by building yoga-layout into the native binary. It exposes part of the official yoga-layout TypeScript package via FFI. Only the API surface that is actually used by OpenTUI. Covered by the test suite of the original yoga-layout package. This already gave a median speedup of ~2.5x, and up to 30x for narrow scenarios. The yoga-layout integration is useful beyond the speedup. Built-in text and editor measurement can now happen entirely in native code during layout instead of calling back into JavaScript. I ran an experiment last month taking this even further, having GPT 5.6 port yoga-layout from C++ to Zig, which gave extremely good results. It would be a burden to maintain right now though, so that's off the table for now. I might come back to it. Simon Klee is working relentlessly on Node compatibility and already has a full Node version of OpenCode running. Node got FFI support in v26.4.0, thanks to help from the Node community, namely Matteo Collina and Paolo Insogna. Behaviour and interfaces seem similar between Node and Bun, but there are some major differences. To get the best performance out of the Node FFI implementation, its usage has to follow some rules. Node has three ways to call native functions: the generic C++/libffi path, the SharedBuffer path, and the V8 Fast API. The generic path converts every argument in Node's C++ layer and then calls the function through libffi. It is flexible, but also the slowest option for frequently called functions. The SharedBuffer path is a middle ground. JavaScript writes scalar values and BigInt pointers into a small per-function buffer, reducing some conversion work. The actual native call still goes through libffi though. Typed arrays used as pointers cannot be packed into this buffer and fall back to the generic path. The path we really want is the V8 Fast API. Node generates a small machine-code trampoline for the exact function signature, allowing optimized JavaScript to call the native function without going through the generic converter or libffi. This only applies to JavaScript-to-native calls. Callbacks from native code into JavaScript still use libffi closures. Getting onto this path is quite strict. A signature can have at most eight arguments and everything must fit into CPU registers. x86-64 Unix systems have room for six GP (general-purpose) and eight FP (floating-point) arguments. AArch64 has room for seven GP and eight FP arguments. Anything that spills onto the stack falls back to a slower path. These are Node fast-path restrictions, not general FFI restrictions. Bun also does not support passing structs by value through its current FFI API. OpenTUI uses bun-ffi-structs to pack ABI-aligned struct data into an ArrayBuffer and passes a pointer instead. Despite the name, the package also works with Node. Pointers need some care too. Typed arrays and ArrayBuffers normally have to be resolved into BigInt addresses first. Eligible functions with exactly one pointer argument get another Fast API entrypoint that can extract the address directly from the buffer. An eligible signature is still not enough. V8 has to optimize a direct call with a fixed number of consistently typed arguments. Wrappers that collect arguments and forward them using spread or Reflect.apply can hide that call shape and keep the function on a slower path. The practical rules are: keep hot signatures within register limits, use direct fixed-arity calls with stable argument types, reuse owned buffers safely, and batch small operations. Then measure the real call site, because eligibility only makes a function fast-capable. We have to design the ABI around these constraints where it makes sense and gives the expected performance improvement. The third big area is text rendering. Today a Text renderable accepts a string, StyledText, or a tree of TextNodes. Before rendering, the TextNode tree is walked and flattened into styled chunks. Those chunks are packed in TypeScript, sent through FFI, copied into a native TextBuffer, and stored in a rope. Styles are represented separately as highlights. A TextBufferView then wraps the rope into visual lines, which are drawn into the visible buffer. This works, but updates are much more expensive than they should be. setStyledText effectively throws away and rebuilds the rope, copies and reparses all text and recreates the style highlights. Changing one TextNode also walks and flattens the complete tree before going through this path again. Text and style segments should instead live directly in the rope and support incremental replacement. Memory ownership is split between retained JavaScript buffers, the native memory registry, rope arenas, wrapping caches, styled-text storage, and highlights. Different operations preserve or reset different parts of that state. This is hard to reason about and can retain memory for much longer than expected. Text storage needs clearer ownership, with fewer lifetimes split across JavaScript and native code. The public API reflects the same split. The t template literal is convenient, but creates another intermediate chunk representation that is mutable, not cached, and not merged. Text also maintains both StyledText content and a special TextNode tree, which do not compose properly. TextNode is only a style scope, not a normal layout primitive, so Text renderables cannot naturally compose inside each other. I think this should become one Text primitive backed directly by rope segments. The template literal API might disappear or become a very thin helper around those native segments. Editing has another temporary layer in TypeScript. Extmarks currently monkey-patch editing operations, scan and adjust all marks after changes, maintain their own undo state, and recreate native highlights. They should become native marks anchored directly in the rope. A proper mark tree, similar to Neovim's marktree, could update marks together with edits, undo, and redo, and provide the foundation for highlights and concealment. Text wrapping has also become too complex. Supporting CJK, emoji, combining characters, ZWJ sequences, tabs, and different terminal width rules currently mixes byte offsets, grapheme indexes, and display-cell columns across several custom algorithms. Dirty views rewrap the complete document. Measurement and drawing can repeat some of the same work. The wrapping implementation needs an overhaul, but the exact shape is still open. The goal is to make Unicode handling easier to maintain, avoid repeated full-document work, and clearly separate byte offsets, graphemes, and terminal display cells. None of this will happen as one big rewrite. We will replace pieces when we understand the problem well enough and when the result is clearly simpler, faster, or more useful. To achieve all of this we might break public interfaces. Thanks to OpenCode and a lot of good models, migration to a new version with breaking changes mostly is not an issue anymore. What do you want to see next for OpenTUI?

//The Wire//2300Z March 26, 2025// //ROUTINE// //BLUF: STRATEGIC AMERICAN BOMBERS STAGE AT DIEGO GARCIA. FALLOUT FROM GROUP CHAT SCANDAL CONTINUES.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- Indian Ocean: Aviation watchers have noted a significant buildup of military aircraft at Diego Garcia. Several B2 bombers have forward deployed to the infamous island, along with almost a dozen KC-135R Stratotankers and other transport aircraft. AC: This morning, a Notice-to-Airmen (NOTAM) was issued for Diego Garcia announcing ramp parking spot closures for the runway, indicating preparations to stage large numbers of military aircraft. This NOTAM is active until May 1, 2025. Lithuania: Four American service members were found deceased after a training accident this morning. Initial reporting indicates that an M88 recovery vehicle drove/overturned into a lake during a routine training exercise. The soldiers were assigned to 1st Brigade, 3ID. -HomeFront- Washington D.C. - Fallout from the Atlantic scandal continues in a variety of means. Various liberal politicians have called for various resignations due to this scandal, while conservatives have stated that no resignations will occur. As the initial release of screenshots did not achieve the desired effect, The Atlantic released more screenshots of group chat messages. AC: This morning, the activist group American Oversight filed a lawsuit against SECDEF Hegseth for the leak, and the judge assigned to this case has been announced as D.C. District Court Judge James Boasberg, the same judge who is currently at the center of hot controversy for out-of-jurisdiction rulings. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: The events at Diego Garcia are a major indication and warning of an impending large-scale military conflict. Since these aircraft were not entirely covert in their movements, various intelligence services around the world know that this logistical staging is underway. What it's for, is anyone's guess. This could be for an escalation of the conflict in Yemen, or it could be staging for a large scale war with Iran. The use of Diego Garcia as a staging zone implies that the traditional staging sites (Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, etc) probably do not want to be diplomatically involved in what is about to take place. The remote location of Diego Garcia (which is also not located in an Islamic nation) provides the added benefit of being out of range of most of Iran's weapons, and thus a vastly more secure site for the staging of strategic bombers. In short, if the United States were to seek a war with Iran, this is exactly the type of forward-deployment that would take place. Of course, despite the very clear and obvious military staging, a single phone call can result in all of these aircraft heading home without firing a shot. From the voyage of the Great White Fleet, to flying B-52's low and slow over various countries over the years, American history is full of examples of American power projection via the movement of very big weapons. However, using the information we have at the moment, the forward-deployment of national-level strategic assets indicates staging for a military campaign. Regarding the group chat scandal, now that we have a closer look at more screenshots provided by The Atlantic, a lot more information of questionable classification level has come to light. Even though the newly-posted screenshots are not the smoking-gun The Atlantic claims, if this information was not a deliberate plant, it would indeed have been a serious violation of Operational Security (OPSEC). Really the only communication that was a serious breach of OPSEC came from the SECDEF, who announced that the targeting missions against the Houthis in Yemen were a "GO", and detailed the number of strikes and estimated Time-on-Target. However, when determining the classification level of information, the source itself would dictate this. For instance, the SECDEF did not create this information himself, this was paraphrased from a slide deck or a briefing he was sent through proper channels. If an investigation were to be conducted, the classification of the information in that document would be the true source for whether or not Hegseth's comments were classified in any way. But therein lies the problem, he very likely paraphrased, and didn't copy directly from a classified intelligence product. It is this paraphrasing that gets into muddy waters really quickly, and highlights long-standing issues in government. When it comes to the higher levels of government organization, OPSEC is a nightmare under the best of conditions; regardless of party affiliation, anytime a politician gets their hands on any classified information one can rest assured that it will be held under the most lax security conditions possible. This does not excuse the behavior, but it does explain it. Similar story with the use of the Signal app in the first place; historically, this has very obviously not been an authorized form of communication. However it's been used for many years unofficially by staffers all over Washington (along with WhatsApp, before the security concerns prompted the general shift to Signal a few years ago). This morning DNI Tulsi Gabbard somewhat perplexingly confirmed that the Signal app is pre-installed on government-issued communications devices. If this is true, this would suggest a very new approach to the handling of official communications. Smartphones with access to classified information systems have existed for many years (such as the DMCC-S phones), but are highly compartmentalized and controlled, and do not usually have third party apps or app stores installed. However, if the DNI's testimony is to be believed, and the use of Signal itself was somehow authorized, the scandal then shifts to how an unauthorized person obtained access (since this clearly confirms that these communications were not compartmentalized in accordance with long-standing regulations). More generally, the use of Signal is mostly a byproduct of fast-paced comms being needed between high-ranking officials that are also convenient to use, even if they aren't as secure or official. This is also complicated by the fact that almost all politicians do not understand the concept of what's called Aggregation in the world of intelligence work. In short, a single detail can be unclassified...but if you get enough unclassified information together in the same report, this can add up to being a classified report. As Hegseth stated in response to the leak "No names. No targets. No locations. No units. No routes. No sources. No methods." were stated in the group chat. However, all of this data could have been easily discerned from other sources, in conjunction with what was provided. Notably, Mr. Hegseth left out the Time-on-Target information, which is almost certainly classified SECRET or higher, based on CENTCOM's own Classification Guide. If this group chat is indeed genuine, ignorance of the concept of Aggregation was probably the best explanation for what happened. Various officials "sanitizing" their remarks thinking that they are unclassified, but when put into the context of the larger conversation, their remarks should have been made by other means. This happens all the time, and is why the age-old spy tradecraft tactic of nationstates monitoring American Congressional hearings is still probably a wealth of information...all it takes is a Congressman getting a bit carried away and suddenly sensitive information is being alluded to, implied, or in some cases, stated openly. This has been the culture of Washington for a long time, but this is something that is really only accepted at the higher levels of organization. Once again, it doesn't make it right, but this is the reality of the way that classified information is handled by politicians; if any junior soldier had posted attack timeline details in a group chat, they would have been punished severely for this OPSEC breach, and their future career destroyed. If it were a low-ranking service member, the question of "is this classified?" would default to an answer of "yes, at bare minimum SECRET". When a politician is involved however, the answer defaults to a slap-on-the-wrist, at most. This is simply the reality of how things work. The official White House response has also shifted to denial, with the Press Secretary calling the event a "hoax". However, this statement is in opposition to the statements by other officials, such as the Vice President and SECDEF themselves. Both have not denied that the group chat was real, and both have spoken about the incident in terms of accepting that the chat is real, but also denying that anything damning was said (which is very obviously not true if a targeting timeline was posted). One possibility that must be considered is that these messages (or even the entire group chat itself) could have been run primarily by low-level staffers instead of the public figures themselves. In other words, it might not have actually been the SECDEF himself communicating the probably classified information, but a staffer instead. Historically speaking, it wouldn't be the first time that a staffer got their boss in trouble. However in this specific case, this is a hard argument to make. It's hard to believe that a low-level staffer would be posting targeting timetables in this manner. The sheepish responses by those implicated in the scandal also indicates that they were the ones behind the messages, especially since many words have been spoken on this scandal...none of which have been a flat-out denial of the identities of those involved. At this point, what the exact truth is will be impossible to verify with a high level of confidence. The whole affair could be fabricated from the ground up by the Atlantic, though this is unlikely based on the statements by those who were in the group chat. The group chat is almost certainly real, and the messages were probably sent by those as alleged. If the more controversial information was indeed taken from a classified briefing product, paraphrased, and posted in the group chat, this paraphrasing does not change the original classification of the intelligence product. The real question that remains is whether or not this was a deliberate deception attempt, or a deliberate leak of some kind. Whatever the truth is, it's unlikely to matter much in the long run, as this whole scandal has already turned into a political issue rather than the objective investigation and learning opportunity it should be. Also, the Secretary of Defense is an Original Classification Authority (OCA) per long standing mandate, so even if Hegseth (and others) did disclose classified information, he has the authority to retroactively declassify that information himself, at will. Officer Seriously Injured in Drug Sales Arrest; Suspect given $100 Bond Option BOULDER, Colo. – A Boulder Police officer was seriously injured last night after a drug suspect tried to run and the pair fell into Boulder Creek during the struggle. Despite the suspect’s criminal history, the serious nature of this crime, and the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office asking for a $20,000 secured bond, County Court Judge Eang Man gave the suspect a $1,000 bond with the option to only pay $100 to be released. “This incident is deeply troubling—not only because one of our officers was injured as a direct result of a suspect fleeing, but because it highlights the very real dangers that drug trafficking poses to our entire community,” Boulder Police Chief Steve Redfearn said. “I also have serious concerns about whether the full risk to our community, the severity of this incident, and risk to and impact on our officers was reflected in the bond decision. This is a pattern that is frustrating because these bond decisions directly impact community safety and the well-being of the men and women who serve Boulder, as well as their families.” Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty said, “This defendant is charged with a serious drug felony. It is especially aggravated because it happened in a public space in downtown Boulder. Then, the defendant caused significant and scary injuries to the police officer who attempted to enforce the law. I’m very thankful that the officer has been discharged from the hospital. Given the defendant’s criminal history, his actions here, and the injuries suffered by the officer, our prosecutor asked for a high, secured bond. That was definitely the right thing to do. Our office will continue to fight for justice in this case.” The incident began at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, when officers were patrolling on foot in Central Park at 1236 Canyon Blvd. after receiving community complaints about drug dealing as well as calls of overdoses in the area. Officers saw a woman smoking suspected methamphetamine and while speaking with her, she pointed to a man near the creek who she said had sold her the drugs. Officers then spoke with that man, but when they asked him to sit down, he started to run away. An officer gave chase and the pair fell into the creek during the struggle to take him into custody. Despite the suspect landing on top of the officer and the officer hitting his head on a rock in the water, the officer managed to get up, hold on to the suspect and get him into custody with other officers before he collapsed. His fellow officers called for an ambulance and the officer was transported to the hospital. The officer suffered a serious concussion and cuts and bruises but has thankfully been discharged and is recovering at home. “According to the Boulder County Coroner’s Office, there were 26 fatal drug overdoses in the City of Boulder in 2025, many occurring in public spaces. This is exactly why our officers were proactively working to identify and stop those who are selling dangerous, potentially deadly drugs in our city,” Chief Redfearn said. “Last night, our officers were doing exactly what our community has asked of us. If the water levels in the creek were lower, or higher, this situation could have easily resulted in a life-altering or even fatal outcome. We are incredibly grateful that our officer was not severely injured.” The suspect in this crime—Kai Brown (date of birth 12/06/1976)—was found with several individually-packaged baggies of suspect methamphetamine. He was charged with: · 18-3-204 Assault in the Third Degree - Misdemeanor · 18-18-407 Special drug Offender - Felony · 18-8-103 – Resisting Arrest - Misdemeanor · 18-8-104 – Obstructing a Peace Officer - Misdemeanor · 18-18-405 –Distribution of a Level 1 Drug - Misdemeanor · 18-18-403.5 – Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance - Misdemeanor As in every criminal case, these charges are an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty.

In 2016, Marvell's largest design win was a Wi-Fi chip in the Barbie Dream House (Save this). That is a documented fact about one of the most remarkable corporate transformations in semiconductor history. Ten years and $36 billion in acquisitions later, Marvell is now the company that Jensen Huang invites onto the COMPUTEX stage, the same stage where he announced a $2 billion strategic investment into the company. Over 75% of Marvell's revenue today comes from data centers. To understand what Marvell actually is now, you need to understand what Matt Murphy did when he walked in as CEO in 2016. The company had stagnant growth, governance scandals, and a business model built around chips for hard drives, printers, and consumer electronics, exactly the wrong place to be as the cloud era was beginning. Murphy made a ruthless decision to kill every low margin consumer business and go all in on data infrastructure. Then he went shopping. 2018 - Acquired Cavium for $6 billion, bringing ARM-based network processors and the foundation for cloud infrastructure compute. 2019 - Acquired Avera Semiconductor, formerly IBM's custom silicon team, which gave Marvell the ability to design bespoke ASICs for hyperscalers. This is what opened the door to Amazon, Microsoft, and Google design wins. 2021 - Acquired Inphi for $8.2 billion, securing leadership in high-speed optical interconnect, the technology that moves data between and within data centers at the speed of light. 2021 - Acquired Innovium, adding cloud-optimized Ethernet switching to the portfolio. 2025/2026 - Acquired Celestial AI for $3.25 billion, bringing photonic fabric technology that places optical connections directly inside the chip package itself. Each acquisition followed the same formula, buy the technology that will be absolutely essential in the next generation of computing before anyone else is paying attention. Now here's the vision Murphy laid out at COMPUTEX 2026, and why it's the most important thing he's ever said publicly. He made one central argument, AI scaling is no longer limited by compute or memory but rather limited by connectivity. Training a frontier model requires tens of thousands and eventually millions of processors working as a single engine and making that happen is a connectivity problem above all else. Today, data centers are constrained by copper. Copper traces connecting chips inside a server can only move data so far, so fast, before bandwidth collapses and latency rises, that's why today's AI servers have to bundle everything, CPUs, GPUs, memory onto the same physical board sitting centimeters apart. When you replace copper with optics, distance disappears entirely. An optically connected server rack can communicate with another rack in a different building at the same bandwidth and latency as if they were the same machine. Memory can sit in one physical location, compute in another, networking in a third and a software orchestration layer composes the exact ratio the workload needs, on the fly, in real time. Murphy called this a data center without distance, a globally optically interconnected infrastructure where the rigid physical boundaries of today's servers begin to disappear entirely, and data centers function as one unified system. That is not a 10 year vision because Marvell's CPO (co-packaged optics) products are sampling in 2027 with volume shipments beginning 2028. Nvidia's Vera Rubin platform has already adopted Spectrum-X Ethernet Photonics, the first CPO switch in commercial production. The reason this makes Marvell's TAM almost impossible to cap is the following. Right now, Marvell's addressable market is the optical interconnect market, a segment projected to be worth $200 billion per year by end of decade. But if the data center without distance architecture actually materializes and the evidence suggests it will, then Marvell's TAM is not just the optical interconnect market but rather every connection in every data center on earth. Ch. 14 of NITRO: The Inside Story of Hulk Hogan's heel turn - #OTD 30 Years Ago (7/7/96)! AS DAY BECAME NIGHT at the Sullivan home, Bollea deliberated his participation in the pay-per-view. “Everybody was telling him that it was the wrong thing to do,” Kevin Sullivan says. “He was getting booed out of the arena, but they were all saying, ‘this is gonna kill him’.” With no end to the discussion in sight, the wily booker casually suggested that Bollea and Young make use of his two guest rooms until the morning. “I isolated [them],” Sullivan admits. “I was just afraid that at the last minute, he was going to use his creative control [clause] and pull out.” If Sullivan could deliver Bollea to the arena by showtime, the finish of the match called for Hogan to star in the most dramatic of surprise endings. In a sequence devised by Kevin Nash, an unannounced Hulkster would shockingly interfere in the match, but only after the heels gained an unfair advantage through cheating. It would be a brilliant misdirection, Nash thought, as fans would instinctively believe Hogan’s appearance to be in support of the babyface team. “I knew there were gonna be 55 different ideas,” Nash says, thinking back to the eve of the event, “[so] I actually put a lot of thought into it. I called Scott [Hall] two or three days before that, and said ‘what do you think about this?’ “We had to make it a 2-on-2 match with Lex Luger getting injured [during the match] and going out. We would cheat to get Macho [Man] in trouble and all of a sudden Hulk comes down, which of course would mean ‘ok, here comes Hulk to make the save’. [Hall] said, ‘I love it’.” There was, however, the looming possibility that Bollea could reject his turn at the eleventh hour. Thinking ahead, Eric Bischoff developed a contingency plan in which Sting would play the role, ultimately revealing himself - despite not having prior experience with the WWF - as the ‘third man’ instead. “I remember Eric came in to the locker room,” recalls Marcus 'Buff' Bagwell, “and said [to Sting], ‘I wanna talk to you about something’. I could hear them going over the idea, and then when they got done, Sting told me what they were talking about. He said that [Eric said], ‘there are only two guys that could turn heel where it would really matter’. That would be Hogan and Sting.” “He was offering Sting the job first, [as I recall], and Sting didn’t wanna do it. He didn’t really say it wouldn’t work, but he just said, ‘it doesn’t intrigue me. I don’t wanna do it’.” According to Andre Freitas, a special effects artist who worked in costume design and character development for WCW, the proposed Sting swerve was to involve the use of a doppelganger - or ‘phony’ Sting - presumably in an effort to fool fans that the real character had switched sides. “That was their original plan,” says Freitas. “Eric showed me a picture of Jeff Farmer (a lower-card wrestler) and said ‘can you make him Sting?’ I told him that they have similar bodies...then we looked at Sting’s hair and Jeff’s hair...and talked about all that stuff. I did a head cast for [Farmer] and some prosthetic and test make-ups. But when they secured Hogan, we didn’t do [the angle].” ----------- Amazingly, even as Bash at the Beach began, Bischoff continued to consider Plan B. “I remember walking by this perforated wall in the Ocean Center,” divulges Nash, “and Eric said to me, ‘Hulk is with Sullivan, and he’s not sure he’s gonna do it yet’. It was up in the air.” Meanwhile, viewers of the pay-per-view - and, for that matter, WCW’s own production staff - speculated as to the identity of the third man. “They were trying to ‘work’ everyone,” asserts Jason Douglas, a WCW producer backstage at his first pay-per-view event. “‘Rocket’ (staff member Rick Sancher) came up to me - they were kinda testing me because I was new on the road - and said ‘hey, I think it’s gonna be [WWF wrestler] Bret Hart’. I guess it was to see if I would leak something, and so I was just like ‘oh, cool, Bret Hart’.” In reality, aside from Bischoff, Bollea, Young, Hall, Nash and Sullivan, the turn would be concealed from everyone - even the announcers, according to orders from Bischoff - as to ensure their most realistic reactions. With less than an hour before the main event began, production staffer Woody Kearce discovered a revealing clue in the parking lot. A Hulk Hogan motorcycle had appeared mysteriously in one of the spaces, sparking another round of backstage conjecture. Finally, with what Sullivan recalls as “thirty minutes” and Bischoff remembers as “forty-five to sixty minutes” left on the air, Bollea belatedly arrived at the Ocean Center. The mood suddenly changed. Upon realizing that his star had been convinced, Bischoff began to relax. “Once he got to the building, I recall a sense of calm,” he reveals. “All of the anxiety, all of the tension, all of the worry, all of the effort to make sure things stayed quiet...all of that just kind of dissipated. It was like fog lifting when the sun comes out - it all just went away. I was thinking, ‘it is what it is, there’s nothing more I can do...so let’s just roll with it’.” To cement the turn, Bollea knew, he would have to deliver a monumental post-match promo to explain his actions. While typically, he enjoyed using Bischoff as a sounding board to rehearse interviews, the need for complete privacy - on this occasion - was unquestionably paramount. And so, away from prying eyes - and ears - the two met up in the most unglamorous of clandestine locations - a utility closet. In the midst of the run-through, Bischoff stopped to emphasize an important point: When you grab that microphone, I want you to say...‘this is the beginning of the new...world...order’. The phrase - ‘new world order’ - lingered auspiciously in the air. Bischoff surprised himself with the utterance, realizing slowly that the term encapsulated everything that the invasion storyline could represent. In 1990, then-president George H.W. Bush famously utilized the same expression in a speech to Congress, although its origin could actually be traced back to the 28th President, Woodrow Wilson. But if Bischoff was unsure as to the source of his spontaneous inspiration, perhaps the answer could be found closer to home - on the preceding Nitro, just six days earlier, announcer Larry Zybysko serendipitously made the following proclamation: “This Sunday, I promise you, there will be a new world order of wrestling…” Fans at the Ocean Center waited anxiously to see if Zybysko’s prophecy would materialize; for after all the hoopla, it was suddenly time for the main event. Before the opening bell, the audience was already on its feet for ring announcer@Michael_Buffer’s pre-match introductions. As Hall and Nash sauntered to the ring for The Hostile Takeover match, Buffer set the scene with theatrical aplomb: “Ladies and gentleman, at this time, let me introduce the men whose plan and goal is to takeover the WCW with force and hostility. We were told there would be three of these interlopers, and I must apologize as I have been informed - as you can see - there are only two. Ladies and gentleman, introducing...the Outsiiiiiders!” In a moment that played off perfectly on television, Sting’s entrance music began - and quickly ended - as ‘Mean Gene’ Okerlund traipsed cautiously into the ring. After exchanging quizzical looks with Buffer and referee Randy Anderson, Okerlund confronted the Outsiders to get some answers, an inspired plot device designed to build the tension even further. “Gentleman,” began Okerlund, “if I could have your attention...I don’t have police protection with me at this time, but I wanna confront you in front of this full house here at the Ocean Center, and millions of others watching across the country and around the world. I don’t see three men here tonight. Where is your partner?” Responding in a manner consistent with their WWF characters, Hall and Nash assured Okerlund that the third man was present - and ready. “Let me tell you something,” announced a confident Nash, “we got enough to handle it right now, right here.” Once more, Sting’s entrance music blared from the arena speakers, this time preceding the man himself, accompanied by Luger and Savage. “Here we go!” screamed color commentator Bobby Heenan as the wrestlers passed an unusually large contingent of security personnel on the entrance way. “The war is on!” Less than two minutes into the bout, Luger collapsed to the outside, a move in accordance with Nash’s plan to even the sides before the climactic reveal. “Now it’s two against two!” yelled Heenan. After a brief delay, the concerned crowd looked on as Luger left the arena on a stretcher, leaving Sting and Savage alone to fight valiantly for WCW. As the match progressed, the contemptible Outsiders used every trick to stall their opponent’s momentum, until a revitalized Savage began a furious rally at the fifteen-and-a-half minute mark. The invaders were suddenly down, but not out - as with the referee distracted, Nash landed a low-blow to bring the Macho Man to his knees. All four men lay on the canvas, exhausted, as referee Anderson started a ten count. As Anderson yelled ‘ONE’, several rows of spectators rose to their feet. Within seconds, the reaction diffused from section to section, the noise level increasing with each passing beat. On the live broadcast, viewers at home caught glimpse of a familiar figure making his way down the ramp. “Hulkamania!” screamed Dusty Rhodes on commentary while Hogan walked methodically towards the ring. Noticeably, the Hulkster seemed oddly disaffected - even out-of-character - but after exchanging the briefest of glances with the crowd, he continued stride with the din reaching fever pitch. “Whose side is he on?” bellowed Heenan, a question that seemed inexplicable given the history of Hogan’s on-screen persona. “Whose side is he on?” repeated Heenan, who as longtime fans could recall, had opposed Hogan for years as a manager in the WWF. For that reason, the comment flew over the heads of most (but not all) viewers; meanwhile, the live crowd was cheering as if their team had won the World Series. Nash and Hall retreated to the floor as Hogan tore off his shirt, an apparent signal that the archetypal good guy was here to save the day again. “Who’s bad now boys?” taunted play-by-play man Tony Schiavone on commentary, confident that WCW’s honor was no longer in jeopardy. Savage lay prone on the mat as Hogan surveyed the scene. Above the cheapest of cheap seats, peeking through a curtain with palpable anticipation, was Eric Bischoff. “I knew that something big was about to happen,” he recalls. “It was either gonna be a big failure, or a big success.” Seemingly out of nowhere, with his unsuspecting devotees enveloped in celebration, Hulk backed up to the corner. With the coldness of a serial killer, the once-honorable hero shockingly shoved referee Anderson, and executed his patented finishing move - the leg drop - to the helpless Macho Man below. The audience became completely, utterly unglued. “I was standing back with the announcers,” remembers Michelle Baines, newly hired as a production assistant. “One of the producers turned to me and said, ‘you need to go to the back’. “‘I said, ‘what do you mean?’ “She said, ‘it’s gonna get ugly real quick’.” “She was right - the crowd turned ugly quick.” In retrospect, it was clear that even as Hogan’s body approached the canvas - contact with Savage just milliseconds away - the gravity of the assault started to hit home. “What has he done?” questioned a crestfallen Rhodes, “is he the third man? What the hell is going on here?” Heenan was even more direct - “Hulk Hogan has betrayed WCW! He is the third man in this picture!” A breathless Schiavone could barely muster more than three words: Oh My God, he repeated. Oh My God, he continued, as Hogan high-fived a grinning Hall and Nash. The courageous Sting, stumbling to his feet to stop the injustice, was quickly dispatched, and in the coup de grace, Hogan tossed Anderson to the floor. Sardonically, he covered Savage for the pin, the contest now clearly a farce. “I hope you love it,” a disappointed Rhodes wailed on commentary. “You just sold your soul to the devil.” The third man was a mystery no more, and Hall, Nash, and Hogan raised their hands in victory to a genuinely astonished audience. The immediate outrage, which first gave way to shock, was now inspiring unmitigated rage. Simultaneously, the evil trio continued to taunt, pose, and antagonize while the announcers lamented WCW’s future. As Sting and Savage hobbled back to the locker room, a visibly distraught Okerlund returned to conduct an explanatory interview, based around the one Hogan and Bischoff had mapped out earlier. “Mean Gene,” commanded Hogan, “the first thing you need to do is to tell these people to shut up if you wanna hear what I gotta say.” For the next four minutes, Hogan rationalized his turn with remarkable clarity. “The first thing you gotta realize, brother, is this right here is the future of wrestling. You can call this the new...world...order of wrestling. These two men right here came from a great big organization up north, and everybody was wondering who the third man was. Well, who knows more about that organization than me, brother? I made that organization a monster. I made people rich up there. I made the people that ran that organization rich up there. And when it all came to pass, the name Hulk Hogan, the man Hulk Hogan, got bigger than the whole organization!” Bischoff watched from his secretive seat in amazement - he had not seen, nor had anyone, this intensity of emotion on display at a wrestling show before. It was almost as if the assembled masses had lost themselves in the performance, perhaps even forgetting, if only for a moment, that they were witnesses to a pre-determined event. Hogan’s actions had ostensibly interrupted their critical faculties; in other words, they had suspended their disbelief by reacting to the incident as if it were real. Moreover, the shock was manifesting in the most volatile ways imaginable, as in an incident edited out of future showings of the pay-per-view, a rather large man, likely intoxicated, ran into the ring before being knocked down by Hall and Nash. Concurrently, a stream of debris rained down from the stands, with one object hitting Okerlund, and the rest filling the ring in a stunningly unique visual. Hogan continued as the trash piled up around him, even referencing Ted Turner in his diatribe: “Billionaire Ted promised me movies brother. Billionaire Ted promised me millions of dollars. And Billionaire Ted promised me world caliber matches. And as far as Billionaire Ted, Eric Bischoff, and the entire WCW goes, I’m bored brother! That’s why I want these two guys here, these so-called Outsiders. These are the men I want as my friends. They are the new blood of professional wrestling, and not only are we going to take over the whole wrestling business...with Hulk Hogan, the new blood and the monsters with me, we will destroy everything in our path, Mean Gene.” “Look at all the crap in this ring,” responded Okerlund. “This is what’s in the future for you if you want to hang around the likes of this man Hall, and this man Nash.” Hogan raised his finger as if to stop the interviewer midstream, the perfect line instantly coming to mind. “As far as I’m concerned, all this crap in the ring represents these fans out here,” he boomed defiantly. “For two years, I held my head high,” ranted Hogan, alluding to his rather uninspired WCW tenure. “I did everything for the charities. I did everything for the kids. And the reception I got when I came out here, you fans can stick it brother! Because if it wasn’t for Hulk Hogan, you people wouldn’t be here. If it wasn’t for Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff would still be selling meat from a truck in Minneapolis. And if it wasn’t for Hulk Hogan, all of these ‘Johnny come latelys’ that you see out here wrestling wouldn’t be here. I was selling the world out, brother, while they were bumming gas to put in their car to get to high school!” In closing, Hogan foreshadowed the future state of affairs in WCW with a prophetic preview of coming storylines: “With Hulk Hogan and the new world organization of wrestling, brother...me and the new blood by my side...whatcha gonna do when the new world organization runs wild on you? Whatcha gonna do? What are you gonna do??” Despite mistakenly bungling the ‘new world order’ phrase at the conclusion of his speech, Hogan still provided the perfect punctuation to a sensational heel turn. His promo, inarguably the most dynamic of his career, came across as strikingly authentic (“it felt real, because it was real’,” offered a proud Eric Bischoff upon reflection years later). On commentary, Schiavone - who most inspiredly suggested that Hogan had planned to double-cross WCW all along, since his debut in 1994 no less - added to the realism with some mournful final comments: “We have seen the end of Hulkamania,” he grieved. “Hulk Hogan, you can go to hell! We’re outta here. Straight to hell.” ---- To the layman, there appeared an obvious explanation for the feverous crowd response that accompanied Hogan’s turn. Clearly, the element of surprise - one of the key elements of Nitro’s success - had been exploited to a masterful degree (“nobody on earth thought that the third man was going to be Hulk Hogan,” highlights Nash). To Kevin Sullivan, however, there were several layers of story at play. “People thought that it was an invasion from the WWF,” he begins, implying that the success of the angle could be correlated to its realism. “They really bought into it, and when Hogan turned heel...they were sure of it. “So while Hogan gets the credit for the reaction, it was [Nash and Hall] who set the whole thing up. Those guys built the foundation of heat, and when Hogan came down, it just blew up.” “We were red hot coming off WWF television,” agrees Nash, “and then you had the biggest turn in the world on top of that. The biggest babyface of all-time finally turned heel!” To the ever-meticulous Sullivan, always a keen observer of the nuances present in a wrestling angle, an often overlooked element was also noteworthy. “He did it to Randy [Savage],” the booker emphasizes, speaking of Hogan’s betrayal. “People knew there was real-life heat there. That helped out too, but everyone played an intricate part. “Lightning...you can’t catch it in a bottle but one time.” The above is an excerpt from the book, NITRO: The Incredible Rise and Inevitable Collapse of Ted Turner's WCW. Everything you've heard people like Marc Lamont Hill say Pac didn't do is false. The man has the deepest literary device bag ever and he employed each of them well. These breakdowns only show a glimpse of how deep his literary device bag was. Sidenote: Joe Budden isn't a true Pac fan. *We clock figures "If I had a bigger dick or a dime for every time Muthafuckas took a bit of the lines from in my rhymes, I'd be richer than a bitch with a trick with big pockets, (Simile, hyperbole) equipped with a dick that's so thick, it fits sockets". (Hyperbole, metaphor) 2Pac loved implied metaphors. Here, he metaphorically compared his phallus to something large enough to fit into a socket, such as a large impact socket, exaggerating size for comedic and rhetorical effect. "If I had a dime for every time", is an idiom (Used to indicate a very frequent occurrence of something happening. Usually used in conjunction with some expression that one would be rich as a result of receiving money for all such instances -Farlex Dictionary of Idioms) You can follow the idiom with a multitude of different things, and he chose to follow it up with the number of times others have took a bit of the lines from his rhymes. He is obviously referring to other emcees biting his rhymes here. He layered an additional hypothetical onto the idiom, creating two parallel, alternative hypotheticals. Each hypothetical leads to a different exaggerated outcome; one financial and one physical (penis growth). He pairs the idiom with a second, independent hyperbolic premise, stacking the hypotheticals and juxtaposing their exaggerations. This parallel hyperbolic scenario intensifies both the exaggeration and the comedic effect. It also makes the hypothetical scenario even more non-literal and impossible. This is why he made sure the following lines did not just include a hyperbolic simile about the amount of money he would receive from every instance. He made sure the lines also included a "vulgar" hyperbolic metaphor about how large his penis would grow from every instance as well. It's figurative and impossible. The hyperbolic simile and metaphor helped drive his point home. The lines are placed right next to each other for a reason. Great word selection and placement. "Please don't misinterpret what I say to be dirty." The lines before this one could easily be considered dirty," and he is sarcastically pleading for the listeners to not view the lines in that way. This is his way of letting listeners know the previous lines were figurative and were not meant to be taken literally. Basically, he is saying to think beyond the surface and do not have your mind completely in the gutter. It is also a disclaimer for the sexual innuendos that come next. "Muthafuckas want to jerk me, so they irk me how they work me". Multiple things he mentioned here could all have sexual meanings. The disclaimer is there to let listeners know to not interpret it as him saying that, "muthafuckas" want to literally jerk and work him in a sexual way. It is very clever and humorous wordplay. Listen to his adlib right after he says "work me". He chuckled because of the puns he used; specifically the one he had just finished using. Everything here is connected, and it was all by design. He set the scheme up at the very beginning of the verse and ended it after the work me line. The whole third verse is pretty much figurative. With Pac, you always have to pay attention to how he worded things and the placement of those words. He simultaneously sandwiched his rhymes in the lyrics included in my breakdown. He did this by rhyming internally and externally. He rhymed internally multiple times here, and even more so if you count the near and partial rhymes. He even added a multi in there (pockets, sockets). The assonance and consonance can't be ignored either. Pay close attention to what Makaveli said after: "My history so thoroughly involves destruction, niggaz left with their ass bleeding, lyrical fucking". "Open up first to bust, let me see your heart, turn the lights down, cause I might clown in the dark" Is a play off the lyrical fucking bar. Peep his choice of words. They're all sex related. He's speaking figuratively. He used puns. Hence, "open up, first to bust and "Turn the lights down, 'cause I might clown in the dark" are part of it as well. He's referring to sex in the dark but figuratively. It's all figurative, clever wordplay. Word Class Wreckin Cru also has a song called Turn Off the lights. Hence turn the lights down. Dre was apart of that group. He dissed Dre by name in this song. Also, peep his choice of words here. There's an obvious correlation between see, light, and dark. Makaveli juxtaposed those words, using 'light' and 'dark' specifically to create an antithesis. 'Makaveli rise, all you niggaz die when I come I do some fly shit and be done'. The words rise and fly are both related to flight. Very subtle. Lastly, he used internal and external rhymes, both with and without using multisyllabic rhymes. "Murdered my friends, built a new posse, we taking shots at paparazzi go and fly now, nigga like Rocky". "Murdered my friends, built a new posse", is not directed at Stretch. The friends he's referring to are the members in the Thug Life group. (Macadoshis, The Rated R). The Outlawz are the new posse he's referring to. He's also alluding to what his character Bishop did in Juice. Xzibit has a song called paparazzi. "We taking shots at paparazzi" was directed at him. Makaveli referred to him as paparazzi instead of his name. Although Makaveli didn't explicitly say his name, he sent a clear subliminal shot at Xzibit. Makaveli felt that Xzibit took subliminal shots at him in his song, 'Paparazzi'. "Forgive me, I'm a rider, still I'm just a simple man All I want is money, plus the fame, I'm a simple man. - Makaveli (Radio Edit of How Do U Want it) Here's what Xzibit said in his song Paparazzi. "I don’t believe the hype or buy wolf tickets Nigga, you make a gang of noise and never seen, like a cricket I guess that’s why we never kick it A lot of niggas is soft and get tossed, tryna fuck with the Likwit How many niggas do you know like this? Always claimin' that they ridin', but they really turned bitch It don’t make sense, either you’re a soldier from the start Or an actor with a record deal tryna play the part—like that! It’s a shame, niggas in the rap game Only for the money and the fame Edi dissed Xzibit in Bomb First (My Second Reply) but Makaveli dissed him himself this time. This is also directed at the actual paparazzi. 2Pac wasn't fond of them. The Paparazzi are freelance photographers who pursue celebrities to take photographs (shots) of them. Hence, taking shots at paparazzi. Get it? "Go and fly now, nigga like Rocky", is a reference to the "Gonna Fly Now" theme song (performed by DeEtta Little, Nelson Pigford, and Shelby Conti) from the movie Rocky. ""It’s like he’s standing up there jumping around; it's like he's gonna fly." - John Avildsen (Rocky Director) He was also referring to Rocky from the TV show, "Rocky and His Friends". This is why he said "Murdered my friends". Rocky was a flying squirrel in the TV show and this is why he said, "Go and fly now, nigga like Rocky". Makaveli was able to do all of this in just three lines. He got his point across without any wasted lyrics. The lyrics have purpose. He's lyrically efficient here. The way he set up the Rocky simile allowed him to kill two birds with one stone. The wording ('murdered my friends, go and fly now') provided listeners and readers with just enough hints to connect the dots between the lyrics and the TV show, Rocky and His Friends, while still referencing the theme song from the Rocky movie. "Baby .45 but she's still live, one shot make a nigga'z heartbeat stop.” He’s metaphorically talking about a .45 caliber gun being his girlfriend; this is obviously wordplay. That's just not the only layer to it. This is a part of the time motif he employed because anything that happens in real-time is “live.” He also juxtaposed “baby” and “.45” to create an oxymoron. An oxymoron is a combination of contradictory or incongruous words, and that’s exactly what “baby” and “.45” are here. A literal baby cannot be 45 years old. This isn’t just figurative because he’s metaphorically talking about a .45 caliber gun; it’s also figurative because of the oxymoron. He also juxtaposed “live” and “make a nigga'z heartbeat stop” to create an antithesis. The word “live” means to have life, while “make a nigga'z heartbeat stop” refers to death. He said “she’s still live” to also create a paradox. 45-year-old women aren’t generally associated with vitality, but despite her being 45, she’s still full of life. All of this is placed in a single line by design. “One shot, make a nigga'z heartbeat stop.” He’s not just talking about his .45 caliber gun (metaphorical girlfriend) being able to end someone’s life with one shot. He’s also saying she has the power to leave a man figuratively breathless. One opportunity or chance (“one shot”) with this woman could figuratively take a man’s breath away and leave him in shock. She has the power to make a man’s heart figuratively stop because of the “caliber” of woman she is. One shot with her can have this effect because she’s that mind-blowing and breathtaking, pun intended.
