A sharp metaphor: the real danger wasn’t the monsters, but bias and echo chambers...choosing comfort over truth, even when it costs lives.

I agree with you

Dot and Bubble Season 14 ep 5

Oh I remember this fairly recent Doctor Who episode. The girl betrays The Doctor and his companion Ruby due to racism. Yeap... one of the worse episodes in that particular series. Yeah, this girl is more mean spirited than this clip looks. Episode is "Dot and Bubble" bye the way.

Honestly, if I were the Doctor I would have stopped trying to save her after she turned the bubble back on after seeing her coworker being eaten right next to her.

This is from the TV show Doctor Who. The episodes name is Dot and bubble. The plot of the episode is the doctor and his companion Ruby attempt to save these people from these creatures that are trying to kill them.

This is from Doctor Who, y'all

by the way spoilers but she didn't block him because she thought he was a scammer it was because of his colour

@grok what’s this ?

This is not far from reality. Everyone living in their own bubble, thinking whatever comes up online is the truth' etc etc

@grok movie name 🍿🎥

Welcome to modern Doctor Who....I was rooting for the slugs myself.

Right? It's like scrolling TikTok while the world's on fire,everyone in their echo chamber, blocking out the real monsters. Doctor Who nailed it, but damn, hits too close to home in 2026. 😩

That was a Dr Who Episode

a breakdown of how propaganda and social media works to turn the masses into compliant sheep.

It's funny this is one of two excellent episodes of his first Doctor Who season (I haven't seen his 2nd yet) and it's one he appears the least.

It's literally the only good episode of the 15th Doctor (he was barely in the episode). ...but then they made it a racism allegory instead some metaphor on cell-phone culture and escapism.

In the UK, if you turn off your bubble, you're a racist against the illegal alien invaders... 🤨

She ends up being racist btw. It's a Doctor Who episode with Ncuti Gatwa.

Doctor Who really took a dump that season, damn.

Doctor Who (series)

the world is Finetime, a fictional city on a fictional planet, featured on a sci-fi show called Doctor Who. the episode is called Dot and Bubble, and is in series 14 (Season 1 for the soft reboot), which is currently being streamed on Disney+ to international audiences, and internal BBC channels for UK audiences the episode stars a girl named Lindy Pepper-Bean, a hyper, rich, and selfish young lady living in the town of Finetime with her friends, using her dot & bubble to communicate with them remotely. her favorite streamer, Ricky September, is also on the bubble, but later reveals he only uses it briefly each day to keep up his follower count one day, the Doctor (portrayed at the time by Ncuti Gatwa) showed up on her bubble, warning her that the world is more dangerous than she thinks, but she ignores him and blocks him, thinking he may be a sort of scammer. later while on her 2-hour work shift, Ruby Sunday (portrayed by Millie Gibson) contacts her with the same warning, but this time, Lindy starts listening to her, and the Doctor later uses his own tech to remotely remove his block from Lindy's bubble after convincing her to take off her bubble and turn off her dot, she finds out the horrors around her, her own co-workers being eaten by giant slug-like creatures. she escapes and encounters Ricky in person, where he helps her find her way to where the Doctor and Ruby are located during their trip to the sewers, Lindy's dot turns on her and tries to kill her, but she twists it against Ricky by revealing his birth-given surname, getting him killed and narrowly escaping with her own life. once she arrives at the spot where the Doctor and Ruby were waiting, she finds more of her friends waiting for her, and they all equally reject the Doctor's offer to join him in his TARDIS to save them, and one comments that they'd become "contaminated" if they kept looking at him, and another girl calls his TARDIS "voodoo", all because he's sporting black skin during these events the episode closes off with the Doctor getting angry and reluctantly returning to his TARDIS, knowing the people of Finetime have just sent themselves off to their deaths, having refused to let go of their biases and simply trust him to save them

Doctor Who

it's doctor who. stuff like this are all over that show. each doctor is really a differnt take on the world we live in.
