Honourable President Smt. Draupadi Murmu has honored Shri Brij Lal Bhatt from Jammu & Kashmir with the Padma Shri for his outstanding contribution in the field of social service. Advancing the ideals of Swami Vivekananda on 'man-making and nation-building,' Nagdandi in Jammu and Kashmir has emerged as a center of Sanatan Dharma under the leadership of Shri Bhatt. This center is engaged in the task of reconnecting displaced Hindus with their roots in Jammu and Kashmir through traditional and national activities, as well as establishing peace and normalcy through direct 'civil society' dialogue between various religions. 🇯🇵 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs invited over 120 high school students from Africa to participate in exchanges with Japanese youth as part of a project to cultivate the next generation of "Japanophiles" who understand Japanese society. The "Africa Youth Program," which promotes mutual understanding between Japanese and African youth, is one of the youth exchange programs announced by the government at the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) held last August, and was held for the first time this year. A total of 124 high school students from five countries -Cameroon, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, Kenya, and Mozambique-visited Japan for 10 days from the end of June, participating in homestays in regional cities and company visits.

I am grateful to God today that under my tenure, I have sent my deputy, all my Zonals, and some of my state, senatorial and LG youth leaders on international exchanges to build their capacities. Bitter, sweet, and aftertaste: Chinese and U.S. youth brew Bai Three-Course Tea A group of 16 Chinese and American university students, participating in the "Across the Pacific: China-U.S. Youth Dialogue for a Shared Future" exchange program, visited Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture in southwest China's Yunnan Province from July 17 to 20, 2026. The program, jointly organized by the China International Communications Group Center for the Americas and the U.S.-based International Student Conferences, aims at boosting people-to-people exchanges between China and the U.S. through youth engagement. During the trip, Chinese and American youths made Three-Course Tea, a traditional practice of the Bai ethnic group. Through the distinct flavors of bitter, sweet and a lingering aftertaste, they experienced authentic Yunnan folk culture and built closer bonds over this unique local custom.

It was an amazing experience hosting thousands of teenagers on-site and online (from many countries) at the Daystar Leadership Academy’s “DLA for Teens” program this week. Imparting leadership skills to young people inspires hope that we will eventually turn our challenges into opportunities for progress. Big thanks to all the facilitators, staff, volunteers, service units, and sponsors who helped to deliver an exceptional experience. Thank you also to the parents and guardians who trusted us with their wards. Our tomorrow will be better. #leadership #leadershipdevelopment

Today, Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Shri Rahul Gandhi had a detailed and fruitful discussion with senior leaders and the party leadership of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. For Tamil Nadu, we had a collective meeting at the beginning and at the end, and in between, we had one-to-one meetings with individual leaders from Tamil Nadu. The leadership patiently listened to all opinions, and leaders were given full opportunity to express their views. The discussion was constructive and focused on strengthening the party and future strategy in Tamil Nadu. The meeting unanimously entrusted that Congress President and LoP will take the decisions. With regard to election strategy-related matters, the party high command will take appropriate decisions in due course. Keeping in mind the larger interests of the party ideology and the people of Tamil Nadu, the high command has issued a clear directive to all leaders to maintain discipline and refrain from making statements, including on social media, on these matters. Leaders have been advised to avoid speculation and speak in one voice, in line with the party decisions. We also discussed Puducherry-related election matters.
