Incredible moment in Frisco: Austin Metcalf’s dad apparently calling organizers of the Protect White People rally to say they’re “part of the fucking problem” and to stop using photos of his kid. They responded by blaming his “white guilt” for “thousands more Austin Metcalfs”

The dude in the suit is Jake Lang, a Jan 6er who tried to organize a militia from jail and is now running for Senate in Florida.

Also apologies, messed up the quote in my first tweet. Jake Lang said Jeff Metcalf was “creating more Austin Metcalfs with your weakness.” “Black man here,” chimed in another rally leader. “You are being weak.”

The fact that his dad called them out tells you everything. These groups don’t care about your kid, your future, or your family, they care about power. And they’ll burn through anyone to get it.

They never cared about Austin Metcalf and his family, they only want to use his image to push their white supremacist agenda. This is the second time that they've gone against the father's wishes. He doesn't want his son's lasting memory to be a racist recruitment tool.
