I love how at the end he tries to say he's a middle class man.

"The Democratic Party's actions had left many U.S. citizens feeling humiliated. Signs of a Trump victory were proclaimed well before Biden withdrew from the race. The voters had had enough." 📝 @KarinaLMariani

"I chair the committee that buys planes, when we buy more planes, I buy Boeing, the day before we stop buying planes, I sell Boeing" it's simple. They should only be invested in bonds, that way they're incentivised to make the country better

In order for us to ban every behavior that expands a congressperson’s wealth in unsavory ways is to give them a salary that reflects the level of power we’re giving them, and then holding them to an uncomfortable level of financial transparency and public visibility.

Such a simple concept he tried explaining to him and refused to listen and kept ranting about his misinterpretation lmfao

He makes a very good point though, in that politicians make their money by getting in with rich people and getting opportunities no one else does. But he’s clearly obfuscating that they also get rich off knowing shit the rest of us don’t because of insider info with stocks lmao

They both make some ok points. Adam is right that people FEEL like there’s insider trading going on which undermines faith in the institution. However, Weiner is right that there is a gap between crafting legislation that could affect prices not being literal insider trading.

This is like the first step that ends with 2+2=5. Damn. Unreal gaslighting.

Who cares about whether legislators get rich off special knowledge. The point of contention is that legislation will reflect, not public interest, but private financial interests — is he too dense to understand?

Anthony Weiner is proof the Clintons don’t kill people.
