In America, a huge mountain turned out to be a huge petrified piece of a tree, and he is not the only one.🤔 The public narrative about it 👇 Devils Tower (Wyoming): This geological formation, with its columnar structure, does indeed resemble a giant tree stump.😉 In the mythology of many Indigenous peoples, it is also known as "Tree Rock." Scientific consensus: Geologists confirm that Devils Tower is a volcanic plug that formed approximately 50 million years ago. 🤔 The characteristic columns were created by the slow cooling of magma. It is not petrified wood. Other "petrified giants": Proponents of the theory cite other mountains that are also interpreted as petrified trees, such as Shiprock (New Mexico) or the Jugurtha Tableland in Tunisia. True petrified forests: There are indeed vast quantities of petrified wood in America, for example, in Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. However, these trees are embedded in sedimentary rock and did not grow into entire mountains, but rather lie as individual, petrified trunks.
