Independents registered high Yes votes because engaged volunteers and community were able to cut through the disinformation. We have laws to protect consumers against misleading advertising yet we don't protect voters when it comes to misleading political advertising. #auspol

Who is going to determine what the truth is? How do we separate opinions and freedom of speech? What protections will be put in place to avoid agenda based censorship? What happens when those censoring are pushing the misinformation? What checks and balances will be in place?

Can you provide any examples of this disinformation? I can, and it was all from #VoteYes.

Telling someone you’ll vote the way you want in order to make them go away and leave you alone isn’t the same as changing hearts and minds.

Accept the vote. Yes spent a fortune. An absolute fortune trying to Jedi mind trick the entire Australian electorate. Professional bodies like the AMA were coerced to support this nonsense and imply its members believed in that position at all, corporations, even John Farnham. For a mirage. That was the problem. The product - Yes - wasn’t worth the paper it was printed on. There was your lies and misrepresentation. Not the no camp. The no camp just saw it for the limp trick it was. And dispatched it accordingly. Spending more money on communicating wouldn’t have helped the cause.

Look at the @ABCaustralia, it’s lies and misinformation. Caught out again, peddling untruths. The only place the yes votes got up was in wealthy, elitist, out of touch electorates, & the Canberra bubble. Clear for all to see. Misinformation you say. There was no information!
