Magnus Carlsen once again reminded the world why he is the GOAT. Even after a subpar start by his standards, he won everything on demand to win the Tepe Sigeman Chess Tournament 2026! Magnus entered the final round a half point down from Arjun Erigaisi. He played an amazing game to defeat Yagiz Kaan Erdogmus - a long battle which lasted more than 5 hours. The ladies of Kudumbashree are a shining example of service and commitment and an inspiration for all of us. It was a pleasure to participate in their Annual function at Kalpetta. Inaugurating all the new blocks and wellness services was good too as these will be assets for the community. Best of all though, was the flagging off ceremony of a new School Bus at the Government School in Kamballakkad. One of the cute little children in the bus was crying, he said he wanted to go home. So I picked him up and took him to his teacher but now he had a new complaint… “Priyanka Gandhi is taking me away” he told her and cried some more until his twin brother also showed up and we found them some toffees…that finally made him smile!!

In my opinion the greatest Dragon ever put to film is Smaug from the Hobbit franchise by WetaFX. It is the most real looking and feeling Dragon I have ever seen. The incredible team at Weta spent a lot of time iterating and developing the character to make it what it is in the final film, even changing his design after the first film was released with a small snippet of Smaug in his previous form (they went back and re-rendered that snippet for the digital release of the first film to keep it consistent). He was changed from a 4-legged Dragon to his final form which is technically a Wyvern. He was voice acted and given reference performance capture by Benedict Cumberbatch which proved to be helpful for the animators at Weta. I have never worked on a Dragon before but it is definitely on my wish-list of creatures to work on one day as they are my favourite fantasy creatures. I highly recommend taking a look at how he was made in the below links, it is truly inspirational the level of detail and craftsmanship that went into making him. A couple years back, his young child, not even reaching the age of 4 years, was crushed by a car that was being driven by a woman who didn’t wear the hijab at the time. As recompense for her action and a condition for him forgiving her, he required that she begin wearing the hijab. Yesterday he lost his toddler to a car wreck, and today he lost his son due to the bombing of the zionists — only to show such exemplary patience. May Allah accept all our brothers and sisters as Martyrs, and grant their remaining loved ones a beautiful patience.

S/O to all the fans, including me, of course, who made sure the show was sold out. We showed up, and the GOAT delivered a fire performance! Emtee pulled up in a red suit with a black shirt, looking clean as ever. And when it comes to performance? Untouchable. The biggest flex? Asking for a bottle of water mid-performance like a boss! He took us on a journey from the classics to the new heat, and his band was on point the whole night. I really hope he keeps these shows going. Don’t be fooled.. Richard “Babyface” Jameswhite. Flatbush, Brooklyn, 1994. After losing his brother Glester in 1991 he went on a deadly revenge tour, he was one of the most feared teenagers in Brooklyn at the time. Earned the name Babyface for looking 12/13 years old as a 19 year old. Babyface claimed to have went to Jamaica, also shipping his clothes there periodically to a Obeah practitioner in order to receive magic. The alleged magic led him to believe he was untouchable and invisible to his enemies. He would get into shootouts with police with no bullets touching him. Richard started off as a quiet young kid, then turned demonic after his brother was k*lled. Most people in the neighborhood didn’t see it coming because of the type of kid he was growing up. He committed two of his m*rders while riding the back of a bike and sh*oting his targets. Babyface put fear in the NYPD, and they told their officers to not get close when they spotted him because he was sh*ot first every time. To further nationalize the search for him his associates crimes were pinned on him. Babyface committed two of his m*rders while riding the back of a bike and shooting his targets. By the time Babyface got caught after he ran to Georgia he racked up 15 bodies. Babyface is now serving a life sentence.

For the past week, we’ve been sharing tears, heartbreak, and beautiful memories of Danya’s one-of-a-kind character. It feels wrong to continue with everyday life after losing one of the brightest and kindest souls in the chess world. Danya was one of the most humble and brilliant players I’ve ever met — a rare genius who would never admit he was one. He wasn’t just one of the best chess teachers online but also one of the strongest blitz players in the world. Once, after streaming for seven and a half hours, I told Danya he could cancel our lesson if he was tired. He kindly declined and shared his excitement for the special games he prepared. He loved teaching his friends and family and never expected anything in return. He had an incredible sense of humor and no ego. In the second slide, you can see him playing a simul against the three of us — witty as ever, multitasking, and still crushing all of us. He was always an amazing sport and made every game fun, even though his skill level was far beyond ours. We’d play odds matches where he had 45 seconds vs 3 minutes, trying to “adopt” my sister and I (winning ten games in a row.) We’d add embarrassing punishments, but he never complained. He’d just laugh it off and say, “Please, Alexandra, just don’t make me dance again.” Danya brought as much laughter to the world as he did love and passion for chess. He dedicated his life to the game. It’s impossible to comprehend the pain and pressure he faced from the absurd cheating accusations — yet he carried himself with honor, respect, and integrity. He played with five cameras, went live on Russian TV, and accepted unfair conditions just to prove his honesty. Despite it all, he delivered some of the strongest performances of his career. While his friends and family stood loyal by his side, the approval he wanted most was that of the top players. But he was stripped of any fair testimony. Rest in peace, Daniel Naroditsky. The chess world will never be the same without you. May your legacy live on — and may we treat each other with the same kindness, humility, and selflessness that Danya showed every day.

Lately, it's become a trend to talk about Carlos as if he only started learning to play tennis well (for some, even to be educated) at 15. As if one coach is the only responsible for his success and for who he is in every aspect. Meanwhile, this was Carlos at age 10 in Murcia. One can acknowledge the work of a coach and give him credit without diminishing the player, who is the one holding the racket and coming back in historic 5: 30 hours finals, as if he didn't exist or have anything to do with his own success or who he is. A world number one, the youngest in history, isn't solely the work of a coach. Is also the work of his family, all his team and people, but above all, it's HIS OWN WORK, his talent, his commitment to his dream, and his constant sacrifice since childhood. Even if every now and then he has the audacity to need to rest for a few days with his friends or family.

Congrats to Ryan Ward for having his contract selected and being placed on the Dodgers' 40 Man Roster. Wardo was awarded as the Most Valuable Player in the PCL this past season after hitting .290, with an OPS of .937. He posted a WRC+ of 132, and his 36 home runs led ALL of the Minor Leagues During this season he also became the ALL-TIME home runs leader (90) and RBIs (318) in the history of the Bricktown Ballpark Era for OKC baseball. On a personal note, I've been going to AAA OKC games since 1975. That dates back to All-Sports stadium, and 6 different affiliation changes, 5 of which have been in my lifetime, and that I remember VERY well. So, to see this with my own eyes was truly historical on a personal level for me as well. #89ERS And, to have it happen in the first year of the new branding was a real "page turner" of OKC baseball, so that's SUPER cool too. Ward also drove in 122 runs, which is the most of ANY player in the PCL since 2010, and racked up the most total bases (315) of any player in the PCL since 2001. Ward also set single-season records for the Bricktown era in hits (164), runs (113), and RBIs (122). As per his defense... His outfield play has gotten better and better as each year has passed, and, while his bat will likely always be the"show stealer", he is a good athlete and has become a very solid outfielder. He can also play 1st base, and dabbled in a touch of 2nd base while at Bryant Baseball Speaking of Bryant, he's the only Bulldog ever to hit over .400 for a single season, and he struck out just 1 time his senior Season at Millbury, so the "hit tool" is NOT a new thing for him. As an aside, he graduated with fewer than 100 kids in his High School, and he is not shy to show pride in his "small town" work ethic. With all the home runs over the fence, his highlight of last year was an at-bat where he kept the ball IN the park. Wardo knocked an INSIDE-the-park WALKOFF home run back at the beginning of May. Congrats, Wardo, I could type ALL DAY about this dude, but that will do it for NOW. #dodgers
