Today, on the 26th anniversary of Poland’s accession to NATO, we are proudly celebrating our membership of the most powerful defense alliance in the world. As a responsible ally, we not only set an example how to boost our common security by spending almost 5% of our GDP for defense. Yesterday, the DMK govt made the Home Secretary of Tamil Nadu to conduct a press briefing. We do not trust the data published by the Home Secretary on the Murder & Rape crimes for the years 2024 and 2025. The reason being that in 2021, the reported murder cases as per NCRB were 1686, but the Home Secretary says that the number of murder cases reported in Tamil Nadu in 2021 was 1597. When you can manipulate already published data that was submitted by the Govt of TN in 2021, why should anyone trust the data given by you for 2024 & 2025 that you have been withholding from publishing to date? Why is the Chief Minister responsible for the Home & Police departments hiding behind bureaucrats?

It took us two months to begin rebuilding and arranging our home. And we are still burdened with debts we have not been able to repay, due to the overwhelming cost of rebuilding our home. To this day, we are still clearing rubble from inside it. And the answer to the question is no — the house is not safe. On the very first night, pieces of plaster fell from the ceiling onto the bed. We were forced to remove all the plaster from the walls with our own hands. We are still trying to settle and adapt, using every possible way just to live. We still love our home. Even though a large part of it has been removed — the kitchen, the hallway, and part of the living room — we continue to see it as our home, our first and last refuge.
