Any proposal affecting disability pensions deserves complete transparency, public consultation, and a clear justification. Veterans and their families deserve dignity, certainty, and respect—not anxiety over benefits meant to compensate for lifelong disabilities. The measure of a grateful nation is not in speeches on ceremonial occasions, but in the policies it adopts for those who have already paid the highest price in service.
