Indian astronomers, using the powerful James Webb Space Telescope, have discovered “Alaknanda” — a beautifully formed spiral galaxy dating back to when the universe was just 1.5 billion years old. A proud moment for India’s growing leadership in space science and cosmic exploration!

Every six weeks, a maneuver is planned for the James Webb Space Telescope to ensure it stays in its orbit a million miles away. It's carried out by a group of skilled engineers at the Space Telescope Science Institute. Watch as the team prepares the observatory!

When I was pondering a name for Nebular, the James Webb space telescope sent back its first images. Nebulae spotted light years away by a bunch of hexagonal mirrors floating in Earth's shadow - dust fusing to form stars. Felt like a good name. Needed a site & brand to match.

In the two years since the James Webb Space Telescope was blasted into orbit, it has performed like a champ, capturing phenomenal images of the heavens and collecting data about distant planets – and scientists say it will continue for decades.

holy sh*t. this is hands down the coolest website i have ever found in my life. it's a live feed of the freaking Hubble Telescope AND James Webb Space Telescope. and the resolution is honestly so incredible i didn't think it was real. unbelievable.

BLACK HOLE BOSS LEVEL: SCIENTISTS FIND HIDDEN MONSTER IN NEARBY GALAXY For years, astronomers thought the galaxy M83 was just vibing without a giant black hole — turns out, it was just hiding behind a mountain of space dust. Thanks to the James Webb Space Telescope’s insane mid-infrared vision, scientists spotted supercharged neon gas that only something like a black hole could fire up. Basically, M83 had a secret boss battle happening in its core this whole time, and we finally caught it cheating with mega-energy we couldn't see before. More telescopes are lining up to double-check, but honestly, the universe just keeps flexing harder than anyone expected. Source: Phys .org
