We are going to seriously regret doing these data centers in indiana. Some greedy poeple have sold out future Hoosiers and our natural resources. This facility will also use thousands of gallons of good water every day too. Sad.

If we could only pin down their political affiliation

I’m just very concerned that they “got on board” way too quickly. And grossly underestimated the environmental impacts. Hope I’m wrong.

Join me in calling for the abolition of the IEDC.

Way to go @GovBraun . You’ve ensured your legacy will be one of shit.

😡

It's a mile past my house. It took 3 minutes just to drive past the site, it's insane how big it is! Fields gone, trees gone, houses demolished and country gone. 😕

Used to be pretty country out there

There this: Overview: By 2031, the program will enable the delivery of up to 25 million gallons of water per day (MGD) to Lebanon Utilities, expanding the robust Citizens regional water system that serves Marion County and eight other Central Indiana

NO DATA CENTERS....

First they make Camping illegal now they want to kill the Bald Eagles

This is actually the new Eli Lilly pharmaceutical plant

In LEAP district too

I am aware

This is bullshit. #FuckDataCenters

Good God! How dumb can you get?

This isn’t Meta lol. This is Lilly’s LP1/LP2 site. Nice fear mongering.

Thou misses the point and is comforted

The sold out for a mere 15 dollars per share to BLACKROCK NOW EAGLE CREEK LET ME GUESS REPUBLICANS ARE INVOLVED MONEY MONEY GREED😢

Inidiana!! - Follow the example of Festus Independence MO whom voted out every single council member who approved this data center against the taxpayers clear opposition. If your community leaders are pushing for these centers - VOTE EVERY DAMN ONE OF THEM OUT

Can someone please explain "wastewater" as it relates to data centers? I've been in IT for 30+ years and afaik we use water to cool CPUs. CPUs generate bits, not waste products. The whole thing seems increadibly stupid, but I'm happy to be corrected.

Water cools by evaporation, leaving a concentration of minerals and additional chemicals in the remaining heated water flushed back into the environment

@polk104 Not disagreeing. But most water cooling is closed loop. Pump, radiator then water lock on cpu. If they are dumping the water they are idiots.

@mass_ave @polk104 They have to eventually dump the water because it will corrode parts. Thats why dumping the waste water untreated will decimate the sanctuary and ruin the mud flats several species of birds rely on. Several migratory birds stop at Eagle Creek along their journeys.

@geemoney31666 @mass_ave @grok how does using water to cool a data center cause the water to become contaminated?

@AuroraBlodyz19 @geemoney31666 @grok 🤣🤣🤣 You’re literally asking a data center if data centers are a good thing!

@AuroraBlodyz19 @geemoney31666 @grok Good point, it’s like asking academia for a factual response.

@AuroraBlodyz19 @geemoney31666 @grok Or a Republican

Bob Braun innovation for indiana!!!😅

if you are so against data centers, why are you on social media?

You said it bro

You people need to WAKE TF NOW! It’s BOTH parties that are controlled by Jews!! If they get this to pass we are all fkd! They will control EVERYTHING

If they try this at Brookville Reservoir, it will be over my cold dead body. Literally.

You’re safe-insufficient ground water

Republicans have us worried though because they wanted to take away funding for the dam, which helps keep the Ohio and Mississippi rivers from flooding. HB1333 or 1003 not sure which bill. Also, their is a town on the otherside of the dam.

What's the problem with the water discharges? They have to pass state and federal quality standards. Guarantee there are elevated levels of agriculture chemicals, nitrates and pesticides in those waters already. The data center waters are clean, unlike Ag.

Have you heard? Someone is dismantling all oversight and environmental protections. You can’t claim safety while eliminating the metrics

Mass close facebook accounts.

@kakashiii111 when you hear Lilly is NVIDIA MASSIVE AI “factory” in Indiana.

The cooling water is supposed to recirculate right?

NO!!! That’s too Goddamn expensive to be seriously considered when you sit above a giant glacial aquifer with water free for the unregulated Republican taking!

@Cw85Rocinante It actually is a closed loop system so they will only be pulling water from aquifers when they refill. I would assume once every 1 or 2 years as that’s typically the case.

@Cw85Rocinante Actually it’s not. You’ve been sold a pig in a poke

It’s a Palantir circle.

Including your rations for food and water!

The data center should be required to clean the water and reuse it on site which ultimately would make the center reliant on their own water source.

So why not build it for that purpose first?

Vote out all local state and federal polititians. Doent matter what party they are in remove them all. A bull with tits is more useful than any of them are
