I really can’t rationalize how so many of us skip over something so easy, that impacts so much of your life. Between Baton Rouge and New Orleans the 2 biggest cities in Louisiana we have 270,156 REGISTERED Black voters. Only 15,038 Black people early voted when you add up the turnout totals for both. With low numbers like that turnout is expected to be extremely low for Black voters. Voting doesn’t solve everything by far, but not voting has impacts on your kids education, the investment in your roads and businesses. Even if you don’t care about the social issues, not voting impacts who gets the money. We have good people on the ballot Saturday. In statewide races, as well as senate and house races. 🚨 Yesterday, I was proud to stand with Idaho's conservative legislators to introduce the following series of bills to crack down on illegal immigration in our state for good: - Require the Department of Corrections to record and then publish the total number of illegal aliens in our prisons. - Require the state superintendent to publish the total of illegal aliens in government run schools. - Require any hospitals and clinics that receive state funding to record and publish how many illegal aliens receive healthcare. - Require an audit of any NGO performing refugee resettlement services - Prohibit any NGO from concealing or transiting illegal aliens and treating refugee resettlement the same as benefits for illegal aliens - Prohibit the Idaho Housing authority from providing benefits to illegal aliens. - Require local law enforcement to try and enter into 287(g) agreements with ICE. - Prohibit state agencies and state funded institutions from hiring foreign visa holders or illegal aliens. Today in the Chamber, I gave the SNP a lesson about distinguishing between legal and illegal immigration. While legal immigration has many benefits, illegal immigration comes with many costs. We see people, predominantly adult men, arriving to our shores in small boats, lorries and other illegal methods. At a time when Scotland is experiencing a housing emergency, the SNP are forcing hard-working taxpayers to pay millions to house these migrants. The SNP are simply not living in the real world.
