On the morning of December 22, the Chinese PLA Navy Task Group 989, consisting of the Chinese PLANS Changbaishan, PLANS Zheng He and PLANS Xiangqianjin 1, successfully completed far-sea comprehensive training as well as friendly visits to Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia before smoothly returning to a naval port in Qingdao, Shandong Province. During the visits, the task group conducted ship open day events, visit and exchange activities, athletic competitions, and subject matter expert exchanges, demonstrating the positive image of the Chinese PLA Navy and deepening friendship and mutual trust with the armed forces and the people of the host countries.

Another milestone for the #IndianNavy! The first of the three Cadet Training Ships (CTS) was launched at M/s L&T Shipbuilding, Kattupalli, Chennai on #16Feb 26 by Mrs Anupama Chauhan in the presence of General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff #CDS. Indigenously designed and built by M/s L&T, these CTS will be utilised for training of men and women Officer Cadets at sea after their basic training ashore, as well as Cadets from Friendly Foreign Countries. Named 'Krishna", the crest of the ship depicts a lotus in full bloom (signifying knowledge) emerging from the banks of River Krishna. The launch is yet another significant milestone in #IndianNavy’s pursuit towards indigenous shipbuilding and is in consonance with GoI vision of #AatmanirbharBharat and Make in India initiatives. #INSKrishna HQ IDS

Public Safety Training Notification: June 3–7. During the week of June 3 through June 7, multiple Boulder County public safety agencies will be participating in a planned training exercise focused on responding to an active threat incident. This joint training involves law enforcement, fire, EMS, and dispatch personnel working together to practice integrated response protocols through realistic, scenario-based exercises. The training will take place in and around Nevin Platt Middle School, located at 6096 Baseline Road. Community members can expect to see a visible presence of first responders in the area, including police officers, fire trucks, ambulances, and other emergency vehicles. You may also see officers carrying training weapons and ambulances driving around the building as part of the exercise. The area of 55th Street and Baseline Road will have increased activity throughout the week. This is a planned exercise and not a real emergency. Please do not call 911 to report activity related to this training. However, if you see something in the area that you believe is unrelated to the exercise and poses a threat or emergency, please call 911 as you normally would. We encourage residents to share this information with friends and neighbors, especially those who live near the training site, to ensure everyone is aware and not caught off guard by the increased presence of emergency personnel. #UPDATE: Turkey to expand military training and security support for Somalia #Turkey will continue and expand its military training, consultancy and security support to #Somalia as part of efforts to enhance international stability, Defence Ministry spokesperson Rear Admiral Zeki Aktürk said. Speaking at a weekly press briefing in #Ankara, Aktürk said Turkish support is focused on strengthening security and stability in Somalia. He noted that Turkey is providing assistance to protect drilling activities and the “Spaceport and Test Firing Range” under construction, as well as supporting counter-terrorism operations carried out by the Somali National Army. Aktürk said the Turkish Armed Forces will maintain a strong deterrent presence through ongoing support and deployments in Somalia. Naval elements operating in the Gulf of Aden, off the Somali coast and in the Arabian Sea have conducted port visits to #Mogadishu. A delegation from Turkey’s Naval Forces Command also recently visited Somalia to review ongoing activities and military cooperation between the two countries.
