#WATCH | The Petroleum Dealers Association has urged the Centre to reconsider the rollout of E20 (20% ethanol-blended petrol), claiming the fuel is causing operational and customer-related challenges at fuel stations. Association President Sasanka Sekhar Sahu said many vehicles on Indian roads, including several BS6 models, were not originally designed for a 20% ethanol blend. He alleged that the fuel has led to complaints of clogged carburettors and other mechanical issues, with frustrated customers often confronting petrol pump owners despite dealers having no role in fuel policy. The Centre has been pushing the adoption of E20 fuel as part of its strategy to reduce crude oil imports, lower emissions and boost ethanol production.
