When the more than half the country has no power to rural area 24/7 you want to boast about this which would need huge amount of power. Would you take it away from poor folks and instead build infra for this ? There needs to be basic needs met first I would think

Modi, this AI hub in Vizag isn't mere infrastructure—it's India's strategic pivot to dominate global compute, fueled by Google's $15B bet, supercharging exports and outflanking China's tech grip.

Modi’s AI hub fanfare ≠ economic fix. Let’s unpack the spectacle: 1️⃣ Youth job crisis? Still raging. 2️⃣ Rupee? Bleeding against the dollar. 3️⃣ Private investment? Tepid. 4️⃣ Income gap? Widening. 5️⃣ AI hub? Great optics, zero relief. India doesn’t need more ribbon-cutting. It needs root-fixing. 🧨

Wow! This is brilliant. Right now, everything in AI is so fragmented — creating a unified Hub in India would be a game-changer. It’s a bold, visionary step that can reshape global innovation and connectivity. 👏🇮🇳

India keeps assuming it can run with the great powers — playing with rockets, aircraft carriers, and AI data centers like luxury toys. Yet it still struggles to keep the lights on for 24 hours straight.

Companies in US are already facing a lot of backlash due to massive resource consumption by AI data centres, You would now start finding such AI hubs backed by Tech companies in countries all over the world where public outrage is either dis-regarded or stiffled.
