Yesterday marked a major milestone in our journey to transforming Anambra State. I returned to Okpoko, a community that was once the largest urban slum in the Southeast, and I'm excited to see the phenomenal progress we have made. I thank the Hon. Minister for Health, Prof Ali Pate, who flew in from Abuja to commission the first-ever General Hospital in Okpoko built by our administration. But that's not all! We also commissioned key road projects like the 2.9km Mgbuka-Amazu-Emekekwe Road and 1.345km Union street-Ojoto Street junction-Adazi Ani Street Owerri Road, Okpoko. These new roads bring the total number of completed roads to 15.623km, with another 3.467km under construction. Soon, Okpoko will boast an impressive 19.9km of tarred roads! However, what excites me most is the impact of our solar-powered water street lights and public water supply on the lives of the people. This is what development looks like!
