That's a long time for one joint. what do you do when you get to the last joint in the run? Still have to use a torch or you sacrifice your induction coil

That fitting was overheated.

I've "sweated" (soldered/flux welded - whatever you wanna call it) Copper pipe, running air and water lines in a factory, and I've got a couple questions. First off would be the "here's the 'Lead' part," I'm truly hoping he meant Silver Solder or failing that, that I will never be drinking from anything flowing through that connection... 😅Second, he states that the number one advantage is that you don't have to clean it first. While I guess that could be a "time saving" advantage, I would rather clean things before connecting them permanently (or at least relatively so). Also, whatever time you "saved" not having to clean is more than eaten up by how long the copper takes to heat with this particular induction heater, and you need to be concerned with how much heat was introduced into this connection - Copper is one of the best Heat Conductors out there, and any wood in the area may be a combustion hazard.

Heating the metal directly without an open flame—engineering at its best.

Why is the L in "soldering" silent? 😅

Very satisfying process. Induction soldering is a great example of precise, efficient heat control in manufacturing👏

At some point you’re going to have to have a gas torch anyway. How are you going to get that off of the last joint you sweat in?
