I just designed a website with Claude Fable 5. It launched today. And honestly, the lines between AI generated designs and human designs is blurring fast! I run a design agency. AI generated slop makes me want to close it fast! Fable didn't do any of that. Real hierarchy. Intentional whitespace. Restraint. The kind of decisions you usually only see from designers who've shipped real products. No model has come close to this before. Not one. The benchmarks back it up. 80.3% on SWE-bench Pro, where Opus 4.8 scored 69.2%. But the design output impressed me more than any number. Here's the part worth reading twice though. Anthropic's own announcement says writing code stopped being the slow part a while ago, and that Fable pushes the bottleneck toward verification and review. Same is now true for design. → Producing a beautiful screen: getting solved → Knowing which screen to produce, and why: not solved → Designing for trust, edge cases, real users with real money: not solved → Verifying it holds up in production: not solved For designers and developers: production will no longer be the moat. TikTok is a lot of noise and not a lot of signal right now. There's a lot of hype about it. As far as I know Frank McCourt and I are the only syndicate that's brought together an offer that's in front of the bankers of ByteDance. Unfortunately we are beholden to the law and that ruling from the Supreme Court said there is no option for any bidder to use one single line of the five billion lines of code. Can't do it. So in other words either the Supreme Court reverses its decision or Congress amends its law or something has to happen for any of these other ideas to occur. Because right now if you want to buy TikTok you're not buying any Chinese tech zero zero Chinese tech zero. You can't do it.

I built a self-hosted Sentry clone that runs entirely on Cloudflare Workers, and I think it showcases one of the most underrated features in the Cloudflare ecosystem: Service Bindings. Let me explain why this matters. When you have multiple Cloudflare Workers (an API, a webhook handler, a cron job), they all need common things: error tracking, authentication, rate limiting, metrics. The typical solution? External HTTP calls to third-party services. That means: - 50-200ms latency per call - Egress fees - Your data leaving your infrastructure - Another vendor to manage Service bindings let Workers call each other directly inside Cloudflare's network. No HTTP. No internet. Just internal RPC with <5ms latency. With Workers Sentinel, any Worker in my account can just point Sentry-SDK into the Service binding, and have all errors flow into one centralized dashboard, stored in Durable Objects with SQLite. No external calls. No added latency. Service bindings aren't just for error tracking. You can centralize: 🔐 Authentication — One Worker that validates tokens for all your services 📊 Metrics — Centralized collection without external observability costs 🚦 Rate Limiting — Shared counters that actually work across Workers 🚩 Feature Flags — Instant propagation, no deployment needed Think of it as building your own internal microservices mesh, but at the edge, with zero network overhead. Workers Sentinel uses two Durable Objects: - AuthState (singleton) — users, sessions, projects - ProjectState (per-project) — issues, events, stats Events are fingerprinted and grouped intelligently. The dashboard is a Vue.js app served from the same Worker. I could say i built this to learn Durable Objects or that I needed error tracking for side projects, but honestly I just need a way to show my wife why I'm sending $200/month to some guy named Claudio who apparently helps me write code. The whole thing is open source. Deploy it to your Cloudflare account, point your Sentry SDKs at it, and you're done. But more importantly: take a closer look at service bindings. They're the glue that turns a collection of Workers into an actual platform. Most Cloudflare customers I talk to aren't using them, and they're missing out. To the Sentry team: I love your work. I don't think that there's anything necessarily deliberate about this. I don't think that the people that aimed for zero-COVID and the people that aim for net zero have got some kind of dastardly zero plan going on. It's more that it's symbolic of something quite nihilistic. Both zero-COVID and net zero were about a constriction of humans to a nothingness. To achieve zero-COVID, you had to be cut off from the world - a hermit kingdom. Never leave your house. Never see your face. There was something so miserly and anti-human about it. And it's the same as net zero involves rewinding to a kind of a pre-industrial area where we live in mud huts, and we don't have anything we can't have heating, you know, the things that have saved us, you know, good diets, heating, lots of farming, they don't want that they want us to rewind and live like serfs. They're such unpleasant, miserly visions for the world. So. I don't think there's anything deliberate. I am bringing this video back as a reminder: We are not Catholics because of the Pope or any priest. We are Catholics because of JESUS CHRIST. Christ is the foundation of our faith. Not personalities. Not emotions. Not convenience. So no, A bad priest is not an excuse. A weak Bishop is not an excuse. A corrupt Pope is not an excuse. A “boring” homily is not an excuse. None of these are reasons to walk away from the Church Christ Himself established. If you are Catholic, be Catholic for the right reason, and that reason is, JESUS CHRIST.
