Good heavens! West Germany didn't absorb the east - it was the other way around. As I was watching, I was thinking of 1984 and the Spies - the youth group to teach children to betray their parents. Now it's real. These are sad days in Europe.

More insane is the amount of people actually willing to sell out their own families to stay in line with the system, seen it in Germany during covid, threatening to call the police because 2 people were talking to each other, pure insanity.
