Insane video capturing the devastating wildfires engulfing Spokane, Washington. We cannot keep living like this. If humanity wants to continue to exist on this planet we have to make decisions that put our communities over the endless greed of big oil companies.

Again, RETARDED. So-called “environmentalists” (and the politicians they own) in western states and Canada have systematically disallowed traditional forest management, i.e. removal of deadfall, cutting of fire-breaks, etc. for DECADES now, and the fuel load that accumulates makes these fires INEVITABLE. One more instance of libtards claiming to have the solution for a problem THEY caused🖕🙄🖕

Oil companies do not start forest fires in Redwood Forest. There are no oil rigs. I am sick of people who do not understand what it is like to live in these areas pretending that these fires are started by some oil bogeyman. Wood Burns. It’s gonna happen once in a while. Wildfires are not a sign of climate change. The last few years have been very quiet as far as wildfires are concerned. You’re just another Johnny come lately.

Homeless dudes start a fire and you blame chevron.

Forest fires did not exist prior to internal combustion engines?

The sky is falling! The sky is falling!

Under socialism, no one would own a home to burn down.

The fires were started by a fucking homeless encampment. Blue because you’re oxygen deprived and suckle the ass of psychopath Nazi George Soros.

Nothing to do with the fake man-made global warming scam. Forests burn. They always have. Washington is run by Democrats who do nothing to reduce the fuels load & allow homeless encampments where many of these fires start.

capital needs to be brought under control.

Preach!

@chazgao Why are socialists always talking about taking control of the means of production and never talking about creating the means of production?

@ProudSocialist capitalists would have you believe that socialists don't create the means of production. but it's created regularly as a result of human nature and necessity in any place. the real issue here is when capital controls them w/o any constraints like America the last 40 yrs.

Only dishonest climitards can believe fossil fuel use has worsened wildfires.

Not a fan of “big oil companies”. But let’s get real, there’s a lot of blame to go around - including Nature.

I saw the ghost of JD Rockefeller himself start the blaze with a single match and a bottle of whiskey. The oil companies are definitely getting out of hand with these wildfires.

@aishamusic Oil companies? 🤦🏻♀️ 85% of wildfires are caused by human carelessness. Wanna fix it? Start by not telling them someone else is the problem.

How does that stop people from starting fires like this one? The climate bus is full of clowns.

I'll play along. How is this the result of big oil?

Big oil:

@ShanMcElroy It’s horrifying to have to flee these massive fires. Our hearts go out to our neighbours.

That’s the dumbest, weakest comment anyone will read today. You are the perfect mark.

A crazy arsonist started one of the fires and by no means was it a high temperature problem, 86 degrees is normal temperature that doesn’t come close to the 1971 record high of 101 degrees.

Fire was started in a homeless camp on a dry and windy day in the Spokane area. Weather conditions like this are frequent and natural for August for 1000s of years.

Yeah, commies can change the weather 😂 Here is what they actually want to change..🤪

Since you want to blame oil companies for natural disasters, what are you doing about it? Are you a strong advocate for accelerating approval and construction of nuclear power plants? How about rebuilding and constructing new hydroelectric dams? Or are you simply against energy?

So, how do oil companies cause this?

About the best thing I can say is, you're a fucking retard. This has nothing to do with big oil dipshit.

Arson cases were reported in the Spokane area around the same period, including one involving multiple intentional fires set on August 3

Oil companies have nothing to do with these fires. For 30 years eco freaks in and out of government has extorted massive payments for logging permits, to cut fire breaks and thinning. So the fuel load grows and grows. Timber from cutting fires breaks should pay for the work, but instead an revenue goes to the eco law firms. And work done is paid for by the taxpayer.

they are saying it was a spark from a train in Airway heights. I fail to see how Big oil companies are involved. And looking at your cloths in your picture, you will be walking around in your birthday suit without oil. So, there you have it.

Was probably some commie fuckstick who set the fires. Again.

Maybe you should be focusing on the geo-engineering and weather manipulation companies then.

I would like to see these clowns live without oil. No electricity, no fertilizer, no gas, no plastic, the list is endless. Take their clothes and give them a tree branch and let them go live in heaven.

We are in need of an intervention ...

@mojoatelier What makes it even worse is that relief for US victims now depends on how their state voted in the last election involving Donald Trump

How about Democratic states need to start paying attention to forest management more than paying for votes by giving taxpayer money away on social issues and feel good politics. Let’s see….the fire to date has burned about 8,000 acres. The 1991 fire near Spokane burned 35,000 acres. Hmm. More than 4 TIMES the size and 35 years in the past. Oh….and two more in 2023, BOTH over 10,000 acres. Did the DEMOCRATS LEARN ANYTHING FROM FIRES IN THE PAST? Yes, that was rhetorical because the answer is clearly no.

Our beautiful BC is burning too. My heart is breaking for all the people and animals fleeing these fires. Please help any way you can, we all need to come together to help. 💔

This is emotional rhetoric, not analysis. Wildfires in the Spokane area are being driven by dry fuels, high winds, low humidity, and ignition sources. Those are weather and land-management realities, not a simple morality play about “big oil.” What actually makes these fires larger and harder to control is decades of policy failure: Aggressive fire suppression without enough follow-up thinning or prescribed fire allowed fuel loads to build to dangerous levels. Environmental rules and activist lawsuits have repeatedly delayed or blocked mechanical thinning, salvage logging, and controlled burns on public lands. Projects that would reduce fuel often sit in court for years or get scaled back. The result is denser, more continuous fuels that turn what used to be manageable fires into fast-moving, high-intensity ones when the weather turns dry and windy. Blaming oil companies skips the actual causes. The American West has always had fire. The difference today is heavier fuel loads created by management decisions and legal obstruction, combined with development in fire-prone areas. If the goal is fewer destructive fires, the practical answers are fuel reduction, prescribed fire, faster project approvals, and hardened communities — not turning every blaze into a campaign against “big oil.”
