VIDEO | Delhi: On Russian President Putin's visit, Lok Sabha LoP and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi (Rahul Gandhi) says, "Generally, the tradition has been that whoever visits India, the LoP used to have a meeting. It used to happen in the Vajpayee government, the Manmohan Singh government. But this is not the case now. Whenever I visit abroad, they suggest that those people shouldn't meet the LoP. People told us we have been informed not to meet the LoP. LoP provides a second perspective; we also represent India, but the government doesn't want us to meet foreign dignitaries. PM Modi and the foreign ministry do not follow this now because of insecurity." #RahulGandhi #Parliament #RussiaIndia (Full video available on PTI Videos –

Dear Rajeev Shukla ji, it’s not the govt but our guests who decide whether they want to meet the LOP or not. If Putin chose not to meet Raga, how is that the fault of the Modi govt? Btw Rahul Gandhi has met several foreign leaders in the past year.

Narendra Modi met with opposition leader of Australia which is a good thing. But, the question is when foreign dignitaries visit India, why he stops them from meeting our Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi Ji? Not just this, he asks foreign leaders to not meet RG whenever he visit some foreign countries.

“Pollution is not a political issue.” This is what the Modi govt believes. When it is not an issue for them, why would they even discuss it, let alone try to solve it? Only LoP Rahul Gandhi Ji and Smt. Priyanka Gandhi Ji recognise that pollution is a serious issue and that it must be discussed urgently.

Our leader Mahatma Gandhi ji was assassinated over here. Today, the Modi government is assassinating democracy in India, brutalizing students, and beating students. The Opposition is not going to accept this. We are with the students, and Mr. Narendra Modi has to remove the Education Minister and apologise. : LoP Shri Rahul Gandhi

The Home Minister does not have the courage to come to Parliament. He doesn't have the guts to stand in front of you like this. He would just run away. So we don't expect him to come, but we know he is responsible. And we will not let him get away with it. : LoP Shri Rahul Gandhi

#WATCH | Delhi: On Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi's allegations that LoP is not allowed to meet visiting dignitaries, Congress leader Supriya Shrinate says, "...This has always been a healthy practice in any thriving democracy. This practice is essential in India because we are a melting pot of diversity and so many ideologies. When you don't invite the LoP in the Lok Sabha and the LoP in the Rajya Sabha to a state dinner, it raises many questions... The government should be listened to as long as it is speaking in a just manner... Not calling the LoP and Mallikarjun Kharge shows that the PM does not want the limelight to fall on anyone other than himself..."

This is not a single incident. This happens all the time. Sometimes it doesn't end in murder; sometimes it ends in insults, threats or violence. It is happening far too often in our country. It is happening to people from the Northeast and to many communities across this country. We stand against this, we will fight it, and we will defeat it. I would like to offer my condolences and love to everyone who has been hurt by the violence that has been done to him. : LoP Shri Rahul Gandhi at the memorial gathering for Chongtham Vikram Singh ji

LoP Rahul Gandhi Ji visited Kalkaji market, interacted with women, and listened to their concerns about how inflation is making it difficult to run their homes. Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi fields a candidate from Kalkaji who disrespects women and makes derogatory remarks about Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Ji. The difference is clear!
