Is it compulsory for them to rent those rooms or what

KsTU charges GH¢10,000. Private hostels near KNUST charge GH¢10,000+. Yet the government-regulated rate for KNUST traditional halls is just GH¢2,167.80 unchanged for 4 years because Parliament keeps rejecting increase proposals. So halls deteriorate. Students get pushed into expensive private hostels. Parliament indirectly subsidizes exploitation. I studied at KNUST. I lived this. 🇬🇭 #TheBigTalkGH

Meanwhile when you get to know their programme of studies, you may wonder if parents have more to waste or students are only about the flex of degree!
