Citroën2CV crazy run of a nun 😇

The crazy thing about the 2CV is that you are not bored because despite not driving very fast (mine could basically stay at 110 km/h on flat without wind), there's so much things happening inside the car (vibration, noise, etc...) that it feels like you are driving twice as fast!

Meilleure voiture du monde

I loved Esther my 2CV6 Dolly in the 1980s. It was my favourite car. Cold but fun. 😄

How about this one, used by the forest fire fighters to get up and down the narrow tracks in the forest without turning around.

Mine when I was a student

Been inside many time when I was young. Not for archaeological curiosity but because in the countryside there were a lot still working.

You could also take the seats out and use them for a picnic, then put them back in and drive home.

From my experience, there are only 3 TWO-WHEEL DRIVE cars that can cut it on Equatorial African "roads": 1/ Any Mercedes 2/ The old Peugeot 404 "Pickup" & 3/ Citroën 2CV

Memorable la fenetre qui te tombe sur le coude et la poignée de frein a main qui te nique le genou en cas de collision! ( Du vécu!)

Tested for its ability to cross a plowed field without breaking a basket of eggs on the passenger seat, making it a boon for egg thieves everywhere!

French scientists have proved that inside of the 2CV is not any colder than outside.

I had a younger model with same features 😍 I have driven many cars in meantime, Porsche & BMW in between, however the most fun made me my 🦆 Ente 2CV with the most comfortable seats ever 💫👍🏼

No air bags, no EGR, no computers. Just replace the condenser, and it would laugh at an EMP and carry on working.

En cabriolet

We had those from the first model (no 3rd window behind the rear seats). Now, imagine the looks we got in FRANCE on holidays, TOWING A TRAILER 😁😁😁😁😁😁

Police in germany loved them 🤡🤡🤡

Imagine anyone younger than a current 40 year old trying to drive it, step into the car and going wtf how does this thing work 😆

Even 007 drove one. A yellow one. Can't remember which film. But Corgi toys sold a model of it as an official 007 toy, along side the lotus submarine car and the DB5

It was the first car with central locking as from the driver's seat, you could reach all 4 doors.

A very simple car that will outlast the modern kak vehicles.

Its everything you need in a car. We drive houses on wheels now, at astronomical costs, and for most journeys the citroen does the job.

A very good car for its time. Robust and cheap.

I have owned three over the years daughters refused to be taken to school in them. Loved it when they asked to be dropped off several streets away.

Had one, wish I still did.

2 horsepower's engine and only 2 cylinders, and it's so ingeniously designed that if one cylinder or spark plug fails, the car can continue running on just one cylinder, albeit carefully and slowly. In 4-cylinder cars, it was usually one less cylinder and the car would be "dead"

So tactile 🤌 dig it 🔥👏

French automotive quirk to the max. I’d really like one…

Analog perfection for the proletariat masses … Oui?

il fallait passer la marche arrière lorsqu' on voulait tirer un coup à l' avant....

Plus tout à fait une 2cv... elle commençait à s’embourgeoiser la fille des champs.
