This is Downtown Toronto now too… It’s so bad that one newcomer came to the backyard where I’ve lived for 15 years at our condominium, and she picked up our soccer ball on the field and tried to steal it while we were playing with it. She tried to walk away with it under her arm, I had to say ‘hey, can you give us our ball back?’ And she did the head bobble and said “sorry I didn’t know.” Same lady… A couple weeks later we were all civilly waiting around our condominium complex for a summer barbeque and she walked in at the last minute and cut in front of everybody at the buffet and took her huge family with her kids to the very front even though she was the last one to arrive. They are not compatible with our culture at all and I’m so glad that my husband and I are preparing for a life outside of Canada.
