@mattkratter @ocean_mining @LukeDashjr Your bias was leaking through in your questions, but otherwise a good interview. I appreciate your willingness to navigate towards the heart of the debate rather than skirt around it.

@mattkratter @ocean_mining @LukeDashjr Matthew is clearly a very intelligent and principled man and that's why scammers don't like him.

@mattkratter @ocean_mining @LukeDashjr Listening to this interview gives me secondhand embarrassment for Kratter. He’s a latecomer to Bitcoin who has mistaken reading about its history for firsthand understanding, and it shows in his distorted account of what actually happened.

@mattkratter @ocean_mining @LukeDashjr What a waste of time. I won’t even watch , nor waste my time. Kratter is mentally compromised.

Whoa..I am so, so, so happy Natalie you had on Matt and I am looking forward to listening. Even hearing how Jeff Booth (supposedly) debated Saylor over a 3 hour dinner. I know you are friends with both of them. BIP-110/Core is a huge issue in Bitcoin and is not going away regardless of what happens. A good journalist like you does take on both sides. (Tangent I side with you on Dr. Jack and not airing that podcast. He is too firebrand and weird for me - even a lot of his medical takes are whackycrackers.) Matt is a way better person to have on your show. Also, thanks for getting people's names right. It matters to most listeners. Guests are one thing (going on KAH-Newt and mispronouncing his name the entire time) to a recent podcaster mispronouncing Hodlonaut (it's HOD-low-Naut BTW) the entire time.

I love your stuff and will try to listen to this, but Matt is just so overly dramatic and emotional driven to hate Saylor and Mstr, that he can’t think rationally. He said STRC was in a death spiral a couple weeks ago and now it’s $95 with two years of cash dividends and $50B in bitcoin waiting in the wings.

@mattkratter @ocean_mining @LukeDashjr This was good. Natalie had obviously prepared by reading the anti-BIP talking points and @mattkratter debunked them all. I disagree with her view that the BIP110 movement has been abusive. Most the the abuse and personal attacks I've seen is coming from the core side.

@mattkratter @ocean_mining @LukeDashjr Cannot Natalie see the difference between the consistency and deepness of Matt Kratter and the hubris and shallowness of Michael Saylor? You cannot trust your life saving to a network that is centralized. I will sell my Core Bitcoin and buy BIP-110 Bitcoin.

It’s a little late for this conversation. The real questions the bip110 leadership team needs to be asked are: • What’s the new ticker?
• Which exchanges have actually committed to support it?
• How do you stop the obvious attack vectors?
• What’s the real timeline?
• Who’s on the new dev team and who’s in charge long-term?
• Will Luke (and whoever else) actually control the code?
• What’s the value prop that isn’t just “we forked Bitcoin”? Everything else is noise until those get clear answers.

Hi @natbrunell, this is the episode we have been waiting for. Well done! Based on your own origin story, I have never understood why you have not been more supportive of BIP-110 and so cozy with the other side. Hope that you have realized that most of the good people are on the BIP-110 side - whether it succeeds or not.

Bitcoin’s Next Civil War Is Already Here Casey Casey and Erin Redwing Erin Redwing dive deep into Paul Sztorc’s eCash Bitcoin fork and the return of the Bitcoin fork wars. The fork implements Drivechain through BIP 300 and BIP 301, allowing Bitcoin to support side chains for privacy, prediction markets, decentralized exchanges, assets, DNS, post-quantum cryptography, and more — without adding those features directly to Bitcoin Core. We break down how hashrate escrow and blind merge mining actually work, the seven proposed Drivechain side chains, the controversial redistribution of 500,000 of Satoshi’s coins, and the central question hanging over the entire proposal: can Bitcoin miners actually be trusted to make this work?
