Times are changing, people don’t want to get married while they’re young anymore….these days people want to get money first and mature mentally before thinking of marriage

The lady at the end threw me off!!! x

A 23 year old back in the day had gone to war and back, had been working since they were 12 years old, and knew responsibility that most 23 year olds today could never know. Times are different.

People are selfish...so much that the family dynamic is gone..u got grandmas out here thotting it up...the prize is family..now everybody just thinks their it.

Why they think every grandmother went through hell. This crazy I had two grand mothers and those bitches ran the house. I don’t know where these weak as grandmother was.Their sister was no weak women. These new age women makeup all kind of bullshit to be victims in relationships

Grandma worked as a nurse which is what made me join the medical profession. Grandpa worked had his own business and owned 3 triplexes on the block. People have changed. Social media is mostly the cause

The old generation tolerated too much, so many things that weren’t right or acceptable

Marriage is a lifetime commitment. You ain’t gonna be happy every day or every month. You will probably have some unhappy years but if you do the work and have a good partner who is doing the work, the good will outweigh the bad 10-fold.

I love their views... We are eager to quit

Ppl are leaving too quick bc the media is moving at a fast pace and we’re not sure what the future looks like. Covid locked us down with our loved ones and that was a huge reality check for many. Happiness is key and God’s will be done if love is meant to be.

The older generation were forced to stay because they were less independent than we are, they would’ve left left too if they could

Times are not that much different The only difference is women having more rights and opportunities, but it doesn’t change the dysfunction, the abuse, and the incompatibility when it comes to relationships. In fact, it actually has gotten worse.

The older generation understood and actually stood by “for better for worse” rather than running when it gets hot

The reason this GEN is so quick to quit is because of the fantasy like displays of living presented to them thru social media. They're constantly chasing a unicorn and looking for the next best thing. Its not they dont have fight, they just haven't learned to build the ethics.

@2n2iprobam @cansunvirmoon

People stayed when church was more of the center of the household. Grandma & gpa were rooted in spiritual aspects of forgiveness. Now young ppl are rooted in the internets definition. Marriage used to be a process, now it’s more about the wedding event.

Girl bye alot of ppl grandmothers had money some didn’t that’s not the difference and they definitely didn’t always meet the folk before getting together like where did he get that from a movie

None of these people on this panel seem to understand group dynamics, culture and spirituality As a whole.

Shawty in the orange is straight cap! These hoes just want a ring and a wedding not what marriage actually is! She flipped the fuck outta the truth

This is quite insightful

They are right on point

The question really hit deep but to me the older generation often endured too much. This generation sometimes expects too much

Room full of opinions

Both of those questions are valid

People go into marriage thinking they gonna be happy all the time. Thats a set up for failure. Don’t give up! It’s hard work!

Alot of women only care about status nowadays. Most times they don't marry for love, it's bc he's got alot of money or he's a come up. The couples that do love each other DEFINITELY quit waaaaaaaaay too soon. Marriage is definitely work!

Generation too tolerant of abuse

They got most of the point but missed a lot of it. Marriage is a commitment and rough times come your not teaching people to get through tough times you teaching them to walk as soon as it do.

Life not a fairytale it’s hardships at every turn, some grams accepted cheating cause they was cheatin to lol difference is the whole city ain’t in they business. Nobody should accept abuse in no time, but today people be lookin for a way out before they get in

Why Kendra 50 and single up on that panel is wild.

Money has to be made first

Its not just that but people are putting roles over character . A cheater can cook and clean an abuser can cook and clean. Often time when parents are emotionally neglectful to their kids. The kids are looking for someone who has basic skills mainly

This is nice 👀

Very insightful.
