When Politics Denies Water: How the PTI-Initiated Chapri (Mianwali) Dam Water Supply Project Remains Stalled While 143,000 People Continue to Suffer: For generations, the people of the Khattak Belt in Tehsil Isa Khel, District Mianwali, have lived under the shadow of a severe and persistent drinking water crisis. The core Khattak Belt comprises the Union Councils of Tabi Sar, Tola Bangi Khel, Chapri, Kot Chandana, Sultan Khel and Wanjari. However, the wider area affected by this crisis and intended to benefit from Chapri Dam Water Supply Project extends across 87 villages&8 Union Councils, encompassing a population of approximately 143,752 people. Despite decades of promises, surveys, announcements&official acknowledgements of the problem, thousands of families continue to be deprived of reliable access to clean and safe drinking water. In many villages, residents remain dependent upon stagnant rainwater ponds& natural depressions, often shared by both humans&livestock. Women, children&elderly citizens are frequently forced to travel long distances under harsh weather conditions simply to collect water for their households. The same contaminated ponds serve as the only source of water for both people and animals. Situation is further aggravated by fact that groundwater lies at a depth of 800 feet and is often contaminated by harmful mineral deposits, rendering it unsuitable for human consumption. For countless families, access to safe drinking water remains a daily struggle rather than a basic right. What should be readily available in any modern society has become a constant source of hardship, anxiety and suffering. The consequences of this deprivation extend far beyond inconvenience. Unsafe water sources expose entire communities to waterborne diseases and serious health complications, undermine human dignity and place an enormous burden on already vulnerable households. Children grow up in conditions where access to clean water cannot be taken for granted, while women bear the disproportionate burden of securing water for their families. In a country where access to safe drinking water should be guaranteed, thousands of citizens continue to live in circumstances that no community should be forced to endure. Recognizing the gravity of this longstanding humanitarian crisis, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government led by former Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the Chapri Dam Water Supply Project in 2020 as a comprehensive and permanent solution to the chronic water shortage affecting the Khattak Belt and adjoining areas. The project was designed to deliver clean and safe drinking water to more than 143,000 residents through the construction of reservoirs, filtration facilities, transmission lines and an extensive distribution network supported by gravity-fed systems and solar-powered pumping stations. For the people of Isa Khel, this was far more than a development project. It represented hope, dignity and the prospect of finally ending a crisis that had persisted for generations. It was the first serious large-scale governmental initiative aimed at permanently resolving one of the most pressing humanitarian challenges facing the region. Following its launch, substantial progress was achieved and approximately Rs. 3.5 billion of public funds were invested in the project's execution. Significant portions of the infrastructure were completed, bringing the project within reach of transforming the lives of tens of thousands of residents. However, following the change in government, progress slowed dramatically and the project remains incomplete due to the non-release of the remaining funds required for its completion. Current PMLN Government in Punjab led by Maryam Nawaz wants to maintain status quo, they feel the project was introduced by Imran Khan and its completion will help PTI. Without realizing its 143,000 people suffering from non-availability of drinking water. This is pure political victimization.

Hello Midnight🅓🅡🅔🅐🅜🅔🅡 let me quickly share from my perspective as well~ 1. During Food Support, there are so many boxes coming. Not only come for JoongDunk or staff, but from all cast fanbases as well. So it’s really important to differentiate each box clearly to avoid confusion. There are a lot of time, Artist/Staff don’t have decent time to eat so they need to grab the food fast so it’s actually what’s advised- minimizing human error. (You can see other Artist are also putting their stickers individually). I know it maybe everyone’s first time in sending food support, it’s shocking and hectic at the same time. So i understand the frustration as you only want to rely support for both. So what i can advise you, you can add on SHARE BOX. There you can send message for Staff or even Dunk (if you send from JOT, sorry it was written in Thai for staff Summer Night at that time) 2. Each of fanbase is given the rights to send food support and to avoid unnecessary food waste, it’s not advised to send for both from one fanbase all the time. There are many times, since Joong and Dunk appreciate fans food support but cant finish them and they have to bring it home (Joong’s mom sometimes share about this or sometimes i saw managers bring their food support box to their cars). But not all the time, they can bring it home, right? Especially if the shooting take the whole day. Other than our food supporty, there are also food provide from other fanbase and also mandatory provided from the company. So always try to discuss with official~ If somehow you are looking for sending both JoongDunk, i advised sending Food Truck instead (if possible, though the cue is as rare as gem). Usually Food Truck is advised to send as CP Project (that’s at least from what i experience from THK) >> Since we have so many cast during DYTD, let’s wait for official consideration. Feel free to join whenever your heart is happy~ 3. I hope this doesn’t discourage you in doing anything for JoongDunk. Your concern is matter and thank you for advising it. 💔It was the worst night yet, the shooting at our homes lasted the entire night, and bombs dropped continously nearby. I am not doing well, my friends. We are dying faster than at any other point in time. Everything is hard to come by, food, fuel, supplies, it is all becoming rarer every day. Food for animals is almost non-existent, cats are eating things that are not good for them, and dogs are stuck with whatever can be found for them. 🫂It is only with your generosity and support that we can even distribute food and water that keeps the poor people at the camp alive, and I hope you will continue to support us so that we can work for as long as necessary, my friends. Without your support, I fear what will happen to us all, and the situation that we will be left in. Please help if you can, we are so very desperate to survive this nightmare. I am so grateful for everything you have done for us so far, and I hope one day soon I will not need to beg you, and that we can live a normal life, free from this horror and terror that fills our lives with hell.. 🫂My friends, there is something peaceful about being in the presence of animals, especially cats. To sit there and watch them and experience their love is a truly wholesome experience, that I cherish even now, amidst the nightmare we are living in. It's so difficult for me to hear the animals crying at night, terrified for their lives in the same way that we are, all of us are trapped and waiting for death. Last night was awful, I truly thought it may be our end, and I cried for my children and the fear they are constantly under. It is no life for anyone. My cousin Mo and I went to visit the cats at my shelter today, where we brought them some of the small amount of tinned food we have left. It's not their fault they are living in this nightmare, and I would give them the food from my plate before I watch them starve. Things are so difficult right now, and we need more of every type of supply to survive. I feel guilty that I haven't been able to source water for the camp, and I worry about where their next meal will come from. My own children are growing so thin, and they suffer from terrible psychological effects from the war. It is a miserable situation to be in, my friends. We give the poor families in the camp cash so that they might survive these terrible days, but I worry about how far that can go, and what will happen to them without further help. They live a miserable life under the poor protection of a tent roof, drink dirty water and then rely on the kindness of strangers so that they may avoid the cruel fate of starvation. I hope you will help us, so that we can pay the high rates the merchants charge and afford some food for these poor families, who are desperate to live. We are slowly raising the funds needed so that we can buy a new generator to run our water project, which will save many people from the terrible sea water they are forced to drink every day. My own family and cats rely on my campaign so that we, too, might survive this terrible nightmare and avoid the dangerous distribution areas. 🐾😸I'm happy to tell you that today I was able to buy more tinned tuna for the cats, and the cost was the lowest it's been in months. This is thanks to the wonderful friends who have continued their support for us, and I want to sincerely thank you all. I can't explain enough how wonderful it feels when I can feed more of the hungry cats I see around. Since the war stopped, many animals have wandered back into our streets, and they are starving and urgently need our help. They are constantly on my mind, especially at night in the cold. They barely have any body fat to keep them warm, and the nights are starting to become unbearably cold. This also makes me think of all the poor people living outside, some in tents and some without, freezing and hungry. My dear brother, when serious investors come into a country looking to do business, they look at basic things, very basic things. In Zimbabwe, people in the capital city, barely 100 metres from the president’s office, are walking over raw sewage. There is no clean drinking water in many homes in Harare. Boreholes are now the main source of water, even in affluent suburbs like Chisipite, where shopping centres rely on boreholes because the government has failed to provide reliable running water. Hospitals do not have basic medication, sometimes not even painkillers. For years, the country has gone without a single fully functional radiotherapy cancer treatment machine in public hospitals. People diagnosed with cancer are often left with little hope unless they can afford treatment outside the country. Around 2,500 women die every year while giving birth in Zimbabwe. Roads are filled with potholes. The country cannot consistently provide 24-hour electricity from January to December. Public funds are routinely looted. Corruption is rife. The Constitution is violated. There is no meaningful rule of law. Those are the things serious business people like Aliko Dangote look at before they invest in a country. They ask themselves important questions. How will workers live? Will they have access to clean water? Will they have access to healthcare? Will contracts be respected? If there is a dispute, will the courts rule fairly and independently? These things matter. So when some people try to reduce this discussion to propaganda and slogans, they are ignoring the very issues that destroyed our country in the first place. We need honesty with each other. A country whose biggest referral hospital still relies on a single maternity theatre built in 1977 cannot honestly be described as a highly promising investment destination. Our judiciary is captured. Institutions are weak. Corruption has become normalised. The world already knows these realities. We cannot pretend on social media that we are something we are not. Zimbabwe is struggling because of governance failures, corruption and policy inconsistency. That reputation cannot be washed away with propaganda. If we do not want that label, then we must fix the country instead of trying to market dysfunction as success.

Universities and High Schools have not moved rapidly enough to guide students to have skills for the next decade. THEY HAVE FAILED. It is a massive crisis that can be averted by understanding what AI and Robotics will bring about. Solutions are knowing how to use these tools and new industries that will rise. But this situation is also on ALL OF US. No “job” is safe from founder to entry level in most industries. You and I, by what we do, will be “replaced” ultimately. What to do? AI and Robotics are tools, the next decade is owned by those who know how to use them expertly, but this is also temporary. We have to understand that what we do for “work” will change giving ultimately a greater value to those that are: Creative Flexible Always learning Willing to be wrong Love being human Love being alive Know history Covet wisdom Knowing all tech has downsides Building strong family and friends Realize many institutions have failed The first four are required for you to be able to live through this period with your sanity intact. The rest will allow you to thrive. There are no true careers at this point anymore. There are advocation and vocations which will either earn you money or give life meaning. We will learn that we are not “what we do”, just like we knew for 99% of human existence. Let that sink in. — You and I are far, far ahead of knowing this and we can do two things: 1) Laugh at the “clueless” 2) Help people understand with grace Go to Reddit if you are 1, in fact don’t follow me because you will not like this next decade and what I post. The Neo Luddite movement has not even begun and it will potentially rip apart society even more than all the fashionable moment in the recent past has. These Luddites will have a good point with the wrong answers cooked up by dying academics that cling to labels, “virtues” and victim hood. It will be readymade for some governments to enter in as “big daddy” to “help us”. You will not like what they do, but you will only know when it is too late. It will include YOU “volunteering” to “leave” by 60, to “help out” CanadaPod style. “Brian, I’m 24 what do I do?”. I hope to do much more here to help. But I do know this: 1) Learn a trade or vocation because it’s valuable. It may also be free to low cost if you do it right. 2) Learn everything you can about USING AI and TRAINING YOUR AI. Your expertise will be in the top 1% for a decade. But not forever. 3) Understand Bitcoin and how it will rise while other things sink. This is a short list for now. We will know more moving forward. When you see videos like this posted below, know one thing: Many of these folks had no real family of mental and physical support. Maybe no parent or one parent. Maybe only a broke system to prepare them for—nothing. This was not their doing. Now it is not your “job” to help them, it is your survival to help them if that is what you need. See some day after the dust settles these 20 year olds will be 40 year olds and running YOUR world. And at some point you may need them more than you think you do. You will need them, as they need you now. THIS IS WHAT PAST WISDOM KNEW. The elders of the past never found the need to piss on the youth and hope for the best. THE YOUTH ARE OUR BEST, let us all find ways to change it, even if every aspect of “the system” wants us to berate them into the ground.

Universities and High Schools have not moved rapidly enough to guide students to have skills for the next decade. THEY HAVE FAILED. It is a massive crisis that can be averted by understanding what AI and Robotics will bring about. Solutions are knowing how to use these tools and new industries that will rise. But this situation is also on ALL OF US. No “job” is safe from founder to entry level in most industries. You and I, by what we do, will be “replaced” ultimately. What to do? AI and Robotics are tools, the next decade is owned by those who know how to use them expertly, but this is also temporary. We have to understand that what we do for “work” will change giving ultimately a greater value to those that are: Creative Flexible Always learning Willing to be wrong Love being human Love being alive Know history Covet wisdom Knowing all tech has downsides Building strong family and friends Realize many institutions have failed The first four are required for you to be able to live through this period with your sanity intact. The rest will allow you to thrive. There are no true careers at this point anymore. There are advocation and vocations which will either earn you money or give life meaning. We will learn that we are not “what we do”, just like we knew for 99% of human existence. Let that sink in. — You and I are far, far ahead of knowing this and we can do two things: 1) Laugh at the “clueless” 2) Help people understand with grace Go to Reddit if you are 1, in fact don’t follow me because you will not like this next decade and what I post.
