LOL, I've seen this a dozen times as a cop. I papered them every time. Cops write tickets based more on the driver's attitude than the minor offense. She's working hard to make her life more difficult and that cop is going to oblige her.

They spend TOO much time arguing with these idiots. The longer they argue, the more likely they make a mistake or say something wrong. Don't argue. Arrest.

All these comments but no one can cite the crime she committed. Expired tag is not a crime, it’s a code violation with no victim. Why does nobody see the difference?

The minute she said that she wasn’t driving commercially was his clue that he’s dealing with a sovereign citizen. No point in trying to explain anything to those kinds, they aren’t smart enough to get it. The instant it’s a sovereign citizen just arrest them.

As SOON as they say I’m traveling not driving after I demand their D/L, I arrest them and call the tow truck. They get booked on EVERYTHING: No valid license plate, No license on person, Obstruction and whatever other violations exist…

I think that when people become difficult and also demand a supervisor, their penalty should double, if they’re subsequently found to be at fault. This kind of behavior ties up resources that are missed elsewhere.

Back in the day if I had bothered my sergeant over some simple sh*t like that It would not have been a good day for me. As soon as the attitude starts you arrest, handcuff, tow the car. The place to argue is in court.

SOOOO MANY idiots commenting. If tag is expired that is a lawful reason for the stop, if lawful she must produce her driver's license, registration and proof of insurance and if she doesn't she could be arrested and car towed.

Who is training all these losers to ask for supervisor? It’s counter productive to escalate already a stressful situation. Just show the document, take the ticket and move on.

Pro tip: you throw cops off their guard by being respectful and providing tour DL and proof of insurance when you get pulled over. Your chances of getting arrested drop off dramatically by not making the officer do extra work.
