Virtual Textures in the Browser. This is a WebGL 2.0 implementation I did in 2023. The car model is from Sketchfab by Pavel Matoušek. It's a worst-case for virtual textures because the texture is generated from photogrametry software and has pathologically bad UV layout. The texture is 16,384 x 16,384 pixels, which is 180 Mb of PNG data. Loading this in Blender would crash Blender for me back then. The GPU memory requirement for this texture is 1 Gb. The VT displays the model after loading just 34 Kb (one tile). The other tiles are fetched in via a smart priority queue in the background as you move camera around the scene. The physical page texture is 2k, which is 16 times smaller than the source. The solution supports multiple separate virtual textures, and has GLTF integration. Texture filtering as well as anisotropy are fully supported as well. You can try the demo yourself here: Here's a writeup I did while working on this: The video recorded on a very crummy internet connection and I intentionally reload the page in the middle. The delay comes from the geometry download, actual texture part is near-instant.

3 years back, I paid $800 for a 60-second product video. Hired a small crew. Rented lights. Found a location. Shot it. Realized one shot was wrong. Reshoot. Sent it to an editor. Waited. Got it color graded. Waited again. (PS: like & REPOST) Two weeks later, I had my video. But a few hours ago, I tried Kling o1 edits inside invideo's new VFX House and made something comparable. It was just me & My laptop. I made the following edits to my video by just simply writing commands - Swap any product or object. - Remove any object from the background - Change the background - In paint and clean-up - Color grading - 3D texture + color grading - Restyle And so on... All done with No crew. No editor. No back-and-forth emails. Took me 45 minutes. Cost me less than a coffee. Here's everything I tested for this thread ↓ (Free & unrestricted for 7 days → INVIDEO)

This is Keith Chura driving all over Georgia for a east cobb tournament to have no grounds crew no medics on sight just in case of a emergency and me having to drag the field by hand….. because there’s no grounds crew and the field wouldn’t be drugedg fo multiple games. Old timers hand-milling massive oak logs the old-school way… no power tools, just pure skill. 🪵 This 1978 footage from Germany is something else. These traditional carpenters in Kürten hoist the massive oak trunks up onto a towering trestle so they can hand-mill them — one man above and one below — using a long two-man crosscut saw. They slowly and steadily saw the logs lengthwise, milling perfect floorboards and beams for half-timbered houses. You can see the rhythm, the sweat, and the years of experience in every single stroke. No chainsaws, no electric sawmills — just hand tools, teamwork, and craftsmanship that used to be everyday life. It’s amazing how much patience and strength went into something we now take for granted. Makes me appreciate the old ways even more. ❤️
