Our bodies have 99% of the capabilities needed to produce it's own vitamin C, but a specific genome was lost probably a million years ago alongside the great ape species. If we were perfectly design we would still have that function.

Intelligent design is ONLY a human perception from incredulity. The Natural World does NOT hold concepts such as perfection , beauty or "intelligent design" . These are simply human projections on the Natural World from human minds when presented with anything highly IMPROBABLE.

Creationists have 2 categories in their head: random, or designed. So 'not random = designed'. But there's a 3rd category: selected objects. So, ironically, talking with creationists feels like interacting with a poorly-programmed computer that lacks genuine intelligence.
