It actually had nothing to do with not being around people. I'm in my late 50s and I love people. What I hate was being controlled in any form for a paycheck. I had a great courier biz for 12 yrs then UPS came in with roadie and underbid everyone. We had single moms and retired

I worked for nearly 9 years as a barista at a coffee house…told my boss to stop hiring people to work with me..I worked a lot better and more efficiently by myself…plus people (in general) drive me crazy..

I enjoy working alone as well, more efficient😅
