There’s an opossum society in California. We had a rescue. That was litter box trained, and lived in our closet up on the top shelf.

I love them, so cute! Good for our environment

We had a rat problem, because we’re close to a ranch, before a family of possums moved in nearby. For nearly a year we didn’t see a rat but then in about a week two of the possums died on the highway and I haven’t seen the rest since. Back to dealing with rats.

I feed the opossum that comes around my house. He's friendly with the outside cats and so is the raccoon lol
