There are vertical wind generators that work in 2 to 3 m/s of wind, l but the problem with all wind generators is the bearings. Wind creates compound stress, and bearings can only deal with single access stress. They're most likely the first point of failure.

There are alot of cheap ways to make and you can make a wind funnel out of a tarp and frame to increase flow.

The initial investment is probably 40,000. So figure that out you’ll have free electricity and 55 years.
