You can find thousands of things wrong in the Apollo photos. I've watched many videos about it. I was sitting in the living room floor right by the tv in 69. Now I am no longer sure they went there at all.

The newspaper photos were NOT high quality at first but recopied from TV broadcasts from the Moon (in 1/3 of the resolution of normal TV in fact to save on bandwidth). Then after Apollo returned they unpacked the high quality film photos.

Transmission: Moon TV camera sent slow-scan video signal via S-band radio antenna on lunar module → received by ground stations (Australia’s Honeysuckle Creek/Parkes, Goldstone CA) → converted → relayed via Earth satellites to Houston and global TV networks in real time.  Newspapers grabbed frames from the TV feed, printed them overnight for July 21 editions. High-quality Hasselblad film photos came back with astronauts days later.
