Great, but it’s not a new idea. From “Space 1999” TV series from the 1970s

Part two please

Were is the rest of the video? someone cut it off before the good part. WTH!

where's the rest of the video

Actually it has a mass of 300 tons. It only “weighs” 50 tons on the moon.

@grok, would it not be easier to land the rocket on its side, then position it for take-off when it's needed ?

It's center of mass would be changing to much to quickly for it to land on its side.

Send Tesla robots up to build a stable landing surface.

Lol, where are the fuel Tanks with this interiour Design?

Buster Crabbe: "Been there, done that".

Just pre-prep the surface area at the location you’re planning to land at using pre-shipped 3D-printing robots that melts lunar dust into solid hard material - flatten out an area in this way first, prep it and thereby make a landing pad for starship ready before arrival.

@grok please find the part two of that video on X.

@TSH3_ They should send a smaller ship with a crew that could build a landing platform 3 days before the artimus arrives. Then that crew can fly back with the artimus

lol just drop a big steel plate there on a fly by

The moon has gravity......get your facts straight!

@Grok so moon landing was faked?

Will it all be cartoons like NASA?

Mmmmmm, very interesting 🤔

Apollo faced this too. Von Braun originally wanted a tall rocket as a lander and so did everyone else. One engineer proved the idea unworkable because there's too much dead weight. And the rest is history.

How about next trip, 2027, land robots to create a launch pad and runways for the 2028 landing?

I would love it if Artemis sets up shop and Elon is there with a plate of cookies
