The size of the Moon that's observable has no effect on the size of the Moon. The Moon is always the same size.

Dennis Johnson 的头像

The Moon only looks bigger when it is low in the horizon, because our atmosphere magnifies its size.

Wait you think that when the moon looks like this 🌙 that it’s physically smaller and has less gravitational pull? Like the dark portion actually went away? Oh sweetie.

Lakes have tides, just not as extreme as oceans.

Dumb is not believing but when you stop asking questions. Curiosity is a wonderful thing. We believe someone discovered gravity by throwing an apple off a building. Im open to new ideas then I use my brain to sort them out. So much fun.

The phases of the moon doesn’t change it fucking side, tides, rolling, and tides are allowed because the amount of water and the fact that it’s not landlocked, you can’t have tides from landlocked water because there’s nothing to fucking add, but it still moves

The oceans have tides because they're global the lakes also have tides but because of the volume they're smaller, you also might want to check out spring tides and tidal bores they're sun/moon driven

Think about it very carefully, he’s hitting on important details. How did the biblical flood happen? From rain? Hahaha. It’s the same theory that we are within a firmament, domed by water above and solid water below which can pump water up or down. Rain can’t flood the earth.

Looking up and down the thread, you can’t help noticing, that the majority of people on social media are just your typical classical narcissists, and that’s it. You don’t even have to believe in any particular shape of the planet. Forget about that. They have no rebuttals, other than, you’re stupid, you’re a moron, I can’t believe you believe this shit, and that’s it. Which, proves, that the dumbing down of society, worked. It’s with anything that isn’t mainstream with these clowns, and they can’t figure out why they never get ahead in life. They blame it on everybody else. By the way, these are the same people that claim to hate the global elite, yet, believe the very textbooks and academic programs, that they have everybody subscribing to. Including, the media. In fact, if you didn’t want to subscribe to their system, what did they do? Threatened to put you in reform school, or threaten to put your parents in jail. Sounds real convincing. You would’ve thought, that, after all these years of having the Internet, people would have grown the fuck up, or at least, figured out how to search out, and vet their sources properly. Nope. 👎 These are the idiots Who allow their children to get jabbed 70 times before they’re three years old, and they can’t figure out why they’re always sick.

Everybody who surfs knows America, Hawaii etc has two high and two low tides each day. In Indonesia there is only one high one low per day. Similar latitude, and all the oceans are connected

"The North Pole, which you can't go to" (See exhibit one) Jerry Clarkson drove there in a Arctic Toyota Hilux. "The same tide regardless of the phase of the moon" Well, of course, the mass of the moon doesn't change with the phases. The moon phase is merely our visual perception of the moon in relation to the amount of sunlight shining on it. As far as the inland seas not experiencing tidal forces, the reason for the oceans experiencing tides is because water is flowing from elsewhere to the area of the tidal surge. This can't occur in a landlocked sea that's sealed off from the ocean by shipping locks, dams, and other manmade water management implements. Exhibit one 👇

All right, so the Earth is not flat it is a spherical body.. tides are not created by gravity. They are created by momentum rotation, and spin rate dynamics…. As we rotate around the moon…. See that’s what everybody misses. We’re not a planet moon body. We are a planet star body. The moon is a star and our planet is rotating around the moon which is anchored to the sun…. The classical oh the moon is a plasma body correct it’s a star.

Dumb idea: There are massive doors in the ocean that open and close at the same time every day that lets huge craft in. When that happens the water fills the caverns and the tides lower. When they close the doors they push out the water. Bringing the tides back. LIFEBOAT FNDTION

Moon is the same size regardless of phase. Tides don't stay the same each day, they vary throughout the year and year to year. That's why tide timetables are a thing. Some seas are "tidal locked" because of smaller area size and volume, and not connected to larger seas.

My favorite part about tides from Neil Tyson degrasshole he said some low tides are caused by the earth being pulled away from water lol. Not the water but earth being pulled up lol.

The Mediterranean Sea does have tides, but much smaller tides because it’s a smaller body of water. It works because each water molecule is raised a slight bit towards the moon, so slight, we don’t notice. But at scale of a massive ocean, it adds up.

Ok but the moon phases do correlate with different tides. He is incorrect about that part.

This guy is such a rube, everybody knows the moon is made out of cheese and It got infested with space mice, the Earth wobbling makes the ocean slush back and forth. Some people say once the Giants forgot to put the drain plug back in and the oceans almost emptied.

Take a pencil eraser and hold it so it covers the moon perfectly when it's at its highest point in the sky, then do it again when its on the horizon. You will see that the eraser will cover the exact same area as it did before.

OMG. He can’t be serious. The moon appearance in the way it appears doesn’t affect it’s physical mass. It’s still always there in physical form with the same mass. Good Lord 🙄

So 1st, just because you can't see it doesn't mean anything, the moon & its mass are still there 2nd the oceans are massive, interconnected, & vastly deeper than any lake 3rd living beside lake Ont I can tell you there is a small tidal change in all the great lakes Look it up

Aren't the phases of the moon just related to how much of it is lit by the sun, not how far it is from the earth? If so, isn't that completely irrelevant?
