Interesting stuff from OutKick 👀 I’m not saying this is true or false, but that’s definitely concerning to hear that his father is that heavily involved in the contract side of things. Especially with a team like the Bears, who tend to handle business using the Old Testament.

@Outkick People want Caleb to fall so bad. So much crap out there

@Outkick I think it’s a legitimate concern though…the kid is a multi millionaire already…has been on the record as wanting ownership stake…doesn’t have an agent….those are things that can stall a rookie from being in camp etc.

@JamesRadunz @Outkick Almost all these red flags are rumors or straight up disproven lies. Acting like him making money in college will make him not want to perform and get a contract worth $300+ million

@Outkick The McCaskeys will never sell the team. Every draft pick is a guess. Hopefully *if CW comes to CHI he settles in comfortably and is given a chance to succeed. He’ll be a legend *if he wins in CHI

@Outkick Agree hope if we get him he’s the 🐐

Carl’s a savvy businessman that helped craft Caleb’s brand. Shedeur will have same guidance from Prime next yr too. Media tried to do same thing and vilify Lavar Ball who masterfully navigated his kid’s careers to the NBA but he fell back once they got drafted. Carl will too.

@Outkick what contract. It's a standard rookie deal for most likley the #1 pick in the draft. THere is nothing to be worked out. His second contract, then maybe its a concern, but that is 5 years away

@Outkick Without speaking to Caleb or his father, this all seems concerning; however, Poles has and if he walks away with a good feeling about him, I’ll be okay with it. What Dad isn’t going to try and get the most money for this son? Who isn’t going to try to get the best deal?

@Outkick @dan_bernstein @LaurenceWHolmes @Nestradaumus1 @79illwill

@Outkick This wouldn’t matter for 5-6 years

@SoldierFields23 @Outkick Why is that concerning? He has no agent. Dad has helped him develop for 10 years. The rookie contract is set as far as dollars and years. Smart to save money and hire an agent before your next contract. Dad really hasn’t said much.

@Outkick The reason he doesn't have an agent and the reason prospective agents were asked about loopholes for rookie contracts is very simple: Caleb is going #1 and if there is nothing an agent can provide to alter his pay, what is the point of an agent in the first place and lose money?

@Outkick Sounds like an underlying non entitlement issue representation issue 😉

@Outkick He doesn't need an agent for the rookie contract. It's slotted. Where he is picked determines his contract. He'll need one for his 2nd contract though. Ownership lets Ryan Poles handle everything from the football side. It's in his contract.

@JamesRadunz @Outkick wtf is outkick

@Outkick Do people think MHJ comes from poverty? That he also did not get NIL money?

@Outkick not for a slot contract

@Outkick It doesn’t scare me away from Caleb by any means. I just hope his dad isn’t an absolute diva like some people are saying.

@Outkick Caleb also said when asked why do you love the game? His response was that my dad had me playing since I was 4.

@Outkick Bears franchise a Ferrari 🤣

@Outkick He was having agents see if they can subvert it to determine if an agent is necessary. No agent could subvert it, so they don’t see a need to give a percentage to an agent for a contract they can’t change or modify anyway.

@Outkick It’s one thing to have your concerns about Caleb: but to cite outkick as a source removes literally all credibility whatsoever. In any topic.

@Outkick CW needs to get an agent if he doesn’t already have one. You can’t say you’re not in it for the money and then penny pinch by not getting an agent. From what I’ve seen in a few examples, players without agents always seem to have contract negotiation issues.

@Outkick Rookie contacts are basically slotted.

@Outkick And the “tear down” begins…this is subtle racism at best

@Outkick I can’t imagine being a grown man and doing this for living. Just very very very corny.

@Outkick Every top QB prospect from now on is gonna be making millions in NIL money. This is just the new normal

@Outkick The contracts are basically set for rookies

@Outkick It's @Outkick ..

@Outkick Means nothing

@Outkick False. Next

@Outkick Outkick is a joke lol

I don’t like the extreme involvement that creates drama, but if I’m a parent I’ll probably try to get the most value for my son as well. I mean if you have endorsements from TOP companies like United airlines, Nissan, Dr Pepper, Play station, Wendy’s to name a few, someone is doing something right. look at the Movie AIR; a deal was done because of Mom, A ludicrous deal at the time but it worked and Da GOAT 🐐 is HIM.

@Outkick Williams threw for 4,537 yards & 42 TDs in 2022. Those numbers dipped in 2023 to 3,633 yards & 30 TDs. Still impressive but shouldn’t a “generational talent” continue to get better, not regress? Did this happen because his focus was off the field with $10M in NIL? #Bears beware!

@Outkick @MikeyMcD13

@Outkick @DickSancho 😂😂😂oh Carl

@Outkick

@Outkick As a Bears fan I smell nothing but trouble ahead if Caleb comes to Chicago.
