Interesting thought from Snip3down on ALGS Playoffs LAN format: Should 31-40th teams following Group Stages qualify for Championship Bracket? In most pro e/sports, bottom teams following Pool Play are eliminated. This could shorten long tourney days & help Groups mean more

Instead, he proposes that 31-40 teams are eliminated, 21-30 move to Losers Bracket Finals to wait to play bottom 10 from 1-20 In addition to making Groups mean more, it would shorten the tournament by 1 day and/or spread out the long 18 game days across the 4 Thoughts?

@Snip3down I do think it’s somewhat interesting that in reality there is no difference between 1st and 20th or 21st and 40th in groups. Although I like the clean slate I do think it’s strange that you don’t gain much for 18 games worth of apex

@Snip3down Idk with the RNG of a BR I think each team deserves 1 last shot.

@Snip3down Fair point

@Snip3down I like the idea. It might be a bit harsh for the teams that are eliminated since their LAN will be cut short but 18 games should be enough to prove that you deserve to stay in the tournament.

@Snip3down valid. although i would argue the "4day" thing. cod does it too BUT they only like like 3 games a day lmao. its arguably too short and they should just start earlier in the day. why i think hes right tho is bc its not only 4 days, its 4 days AND WAYYYYY TOO MUCH PLAYIN

@Snip3down I’m with it + doing one less day could cut money on costs and allow for another LAN + better/more locations for LANs.

@Snip3down i know that BR's are different but bro val/cs/ow/RL etc have tournaments for like 2-3 weeks why are BR players crying about a event longer than 3 days for ?

@Snip3down snipe sure aint wrong, 18 games is enough to show up

@Snip3down Snipedown really wants to get sent home early that’s crazy
