Interesting. Why do our courts not use Shona/Ndebele? Do we have an identity crisis as a country?

Don't be ignorant. When you go to court they ask you what language you want to use..

I had never been there, Chris hahaha 😅

What's an Engineer in 'Shona/Ndebele?' And why Shona Ndebele only when there are 14+ other languages?

They are the main😅 I would suggest that they should start with Ndebele and Shona

Every District now have a Court

Exactly. They should do it they way Chinotimba introduced indigenous languages in parliament 😅

Hahaha., yes

In Zimbabwean courts they ask you which language you would want to use.

You use any language you are comfortable with in court.

apa hamuna kana mu european mu court macho

Well I am told you get asked which language you want to use then you choose your language.

It’s optional

So that everybody can understand, Shona Ndebele and other languages. One common language.

They actually ask you on which language do you prefer

Then stop learning English as a country🤷♀️

Zimbabwe’s legal system is based on Roman-Dutch law and English common law inherited during the colonial era. That explains why English became the dominant language of the courts. The bigger question today must be whether legal proceedings and judgments should be solely English?

haaaa chimombe akafira mahara

Kufira dzadya here?😅😅

haaa dzimwe nyaya idzo aasina mhosva

English is a lingua franca, that’s why.

Pathetic

Hazvina kana basa zvine basa rei chikuru kunzwanana

It's a shame

Ahhh ndokutoti harisati tafree kkk tichiri muhutapwa. Munhu wese akungomhanyira kuEnglish dzimwe nyika dzirikutokurudzira mitaura yawo
