Interestingly enough, ex-DHS Sec. Mayorkas hyped Operation Allies Welcome's vetting process as "rigorous." On 3/23/2023, he & Sen. Klobuchar touted it in a hearing as "institutionalized" & "gold standard," with Klobuchar saying the Afghan Adjustment Act requires "vetting that is just as rigorous as the vetting they would have...

🚨🇺🇸 FLASHBACK NOV 2021: HAWLEY DESTROYS MAYORKAS ON AFGHAN VETTING — "YOU LEARNED NOTHING FROM 9/11" In November 2021, Biden DHS Secretary Mayorkas admitted tens of thousands of Afghan evacuees entered America without standard refugee interviews. When pressed by Senator Hawley, Mayorkas confessed he doesn't track interview data and only screens those already flagged as terrorists... a process that would have caught zero 9/11 hijackers. FBI whistleblowers warned of 324 individuals with derogatory information admitted anyway. Last week, an Afghan evacuee from that chaotic withdrawal ambushed two National Guard members near the White House, killing one, and vindicating every warning about the "ticking time bomb" created by Biden's catastrophic Afghanistan exit. 00:49 – Mayorkas admits screening deviates from standard refugee process 01:23 – Not all evacuees received in-person interviews whatsoever 02:35 – Special visa holders tiny fraction of 60,000 total 03:17 – Only screening people already in terrorist databases 04:05 – Process would have caught zero of 20 hijackers 05:10 – Mayorkas doesn't know percentage actually interviewed before entry 05:56 – DHS Secretary admits not tracking interview data 06:09 – Can't explain why he doesn't know who's interviewed 06:50 – Female service member assaulted by male Afghan evacuees 06:50 – Afghan girls presented as underage wives to men 07:11 – Hawley explodes over failure to learn 9/11 lessons 01:02 – Used word rigorous then admitted massive screening gaps 04:57 – FBI warned 324 entered with derogatory information anyway 07:31 – Security risk unbelievable after skipping basic protocols 02:16 – Emergency situation excuse for abandoning standard vetting procedures Source: Josh Hawley / Fox

Inside the Mandelson vetting scandal - a bonus edition of our podcast The State of It • Open warfare between Number 10 and Sir Olly Robbins, who was sacked as perm sec of the foreign office this week • Cat Little, the perm sec at the cabinet office, asked the foreign office for the vetting file weeks ago. Starmer allies claim that Robbins blocked its release • She was eventually given the file on March 25 but felt unable to share it with Starmer because of legal issues. She took extensive advice, both on data protection issues and more broadly issues of whether it would undermine the entire vetting system, which relies on confidentiality and is supposed to be insulated from ministers • She went to Starmer on Tuesday, nearly a month later. He was incandescent and ordered an investigation. Robbins was sacked on Thursday • Extraordinary as it sounds, nobody is now disputing Starmer's claim that Robbins failed to tell ministers. Robbins kept it to himself. • But Robbins' allies are fighting back. They insist he did nothing wrong and say he has been scapegoated. • They argue that the PM put Robbins in an invidious position by announcing Mandelson's appointment before he had even undergone security vetting. • They say he would have been in breach of his obligations as a civil servant if he had informed the PM that Mandelson had failed his initial security vetting. • Will Starmer survive? Labour MPs seem to think he will for now. But it adds yet more fuel to the anger about Starmer's original, catastrophic misjudgement in appointing Mandelson. • Next week will be a blockbuster, with both Starmer and Robbins making public appearances With Patrick Maguire and Lara Spirit

🚨 BREAKING: The Afghan national who shot two National Guard members in Washington, D.C. entered the U.S. through Operation Allies Welcome — the program overseen by Alejandro Mayorkas. Joe Biden put Mayorkas in charge of the mass-resettlement operation following the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan — a program that rushed tens of thousands of unvetted Afghans into American communities. Today we learned: The shooter was brought into the United States in 2021 as part of that program. He was admitted because he “worked with or assisted the U.S. government.” Background checks were minimal and political pressure was enormous. His asylum was approved earlier this year. And now two American service members — heroes — have been shot in broad daylight steps from the White House. This clip from Mayorkas aged like milk: “Operation Allies Welcome… The President has designated the Department of Homeland Security to lead the effort… to bring vulnerable Afghans to the United States and support their resettlement.” They called it “safe.” They called it “screened.” They called it “thorough.” It was none of those things. Mayorkas built the gateway. Biden ordered it opened. And Americans are paying the price. This is not a mistake. This is not incompetence. This is the direct result of a government that threw border security, vetting, and common sense into the shredder. Two National Guardsmen are fighting for their lives because the people in charge refused to protect the nation. Mayorkas must face consequences. Operation Allies Welcome must be investigated. And America must never again allow ideology to override national security. Enough is enough.

Today, Democrat Senator Mark Warner Mark Warner, the Vice Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, recorded and posted this video of himself attacking me as a “9/11 conspiracy theorist” and a “right wing lunatic” because of my vetting and oppo research on NSC and NSA officials that was presented to President Trump, resulting in their mass firings. If anti-Trump and pro-impeachment Democrats are angry about the firings of TRUMP ADMIN OFFICIALS IN THE NSC AND NSA, and they are angry about President Donald J. Trump meeting with me in the Oval Office, that’s how you know I did the right thing and that these people needed to be fired, as I said. Why would rabid Trump haters in Congress be defending these NSC and NSA officials if they are truly loyal to President Trump? US Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) voted to convict and impeach President Donald Trump. He said Trump was a “threat to Democracy” and a criminal after J6. The NSC and NSA officials I exposed all agree with Mark Warner. That’s why he’s defending them. All of the Democrat and Deep State moles are getting rooted out, and the Democrats on the Senate Intel Committee are CRYING because they were hoping to weaponize the intel agencies against President Trump again, just like they did during his first term to spy on him and stage a coup against him. I’m stopping these traitors before they can STRIKE, and they are livid. Vetting matters, @MikeWaltz47! It should be a wake up call to Mike Waltz that the TRUMP HATING, DEMOCRAT VICE CHAIR OF THE SENATE INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE is crying over the report I gave President Trump in the Oval Office. Waltz said he vetted all of these people himself. If he vetted them, how come he didn’t ask them about their hatred of President Trump? Clearly, the National Security Director and I have different standards and definitions of VETTING. As I said before, THERE IS A VETTING CRISIS IN THE WHITE HOUSE. And this vetting crisis endangers President Trump. I am fighting to PROTECT President Trump. Donald J. Trump JD Vance Sergio Gor Susie Wiles Pete Hegseth Marco Rubio
