We have always been the leader when it comes to liberty. 206 years later, in 1982, a supermajority of Granite Staters approved article 2-a of the Constitution. It reads that “all persons have the right to keep and bear arms in defense of themselves, their families, their property, and the state.” Right now, UNH and other public universities are infringing on the self defense rights of law abiding college students.

This is a blatant abuse of the First Amendment. Free speech restrains the government. It does not give you permission to trespass, disrupt private property, or hijack a church service. Churches have rights too. The right to worship. The right to assemble. The right to be left alone. Your rights end where other people’s rights begin.. Calling illegal behavior “journalism” or “protest” doesn’t magically make it legal.
